depends on the project..
for example, for a comic project (like foxfire) there's Keenspace (http://www.keenspace.com)
if you can live with it's little quirks. they've had to replace the entire sever infrastructure as of late.. so..yeah

IMHO free hosting is over rated and besides good hosting is so cheap it's surreal.
For instance I'm paying ~$16 (after a lifetime coupon) for 1000MB storage and 1000GB transfer. I have unlimited users, mysql databases, "powertools" (scripts that I can get installed for me) and a whole slew of other cool stuff. I can also have up to 5 domains to this plan, so if I wanted I could buy another domain and use it. And with the more domains I have the cost per domain goes down.
BTW the support is outa this world!

My host (http://www.dream-studios.com/index.php?p=resellers) (Developer Plan #1). Plus I can upgrade it and my lifetime coupon is still valid. :ha: I can also get custom plans and I sorta know the owner. :ha:^2
And my bad, it's only 100GB transfer a month not 1000GB.

they do, and it's free(it's under the freakin' logo)..
i do believe that they do custom plans for people too.. i'll have to check on that..

How do you think I learned about it in the first place? ;) And they do custom plans for anyone. My point wasn't that they couldn't, my point was that they are better then hostonce.com...well IMEHO anyway :D
