1. Did it still work afterwards?
2. What was she listening to?
3. Did it skip?
Read, FOR GREAT JUSTICE! (http://www.liquidgeneration.com/rumormill/ipod_killing.html)
-
She was probably listening to a Richard Simmonds single :p
-
Oh, I forgot! Look at the "related news" ad. ;)
-
I think a Darwin Award is in order.
Not for her obviously, for the boyfriend for being an RIAA whore.
-
#1 That is why you have backups
#2 It's nearly physically impossible, she must be one of the amazon body builder types.
#3 She was disturbed in the first place.
I like this bit:
“She must have stabbed him 40 to 80 times with that iPod
This proves she must be some kind of inhumanly strong freak. I mean she stabbed him to death with a blunt object.
I can't wait for this to become general knowledge.
Apple will probably add an indication that the iPod is a lethal weapon.(http://www.freeadpower.org/~mrsmiles/otn/realhappy/xxrotflmao.gif)

[color=66ff00]I 98% agree with this sentiment.
The other 2% goes to the possibility that she could have merely beaten him to within an inch of his life instead of flat out killing him.
Ipod™: Misuse can cause trauma.

"US OUTLAWS iPOD"
:p
-
Don't laugh! IT COULD HAPPEN!
I mean this is the US Government we're talking about here. Some boot-licker of a beaurecrat will probably do it and call it "Protecting the public from themselves."
Don't discount the possiblity of a role for the RIAA in this, it could be a professional hit arranged to make the Government ban MP3s.

Ipod™: Sharp sound, blunt instrument trauma
-
Hmm, from what I've seen IPods are pretty tiny and light. She must really have wanted it.
-
1) "Ipod: Can give a beating and keep on ticking"
2) She was probably listening to William Hung's "She Bangs"
3) Maybe off his head...

Like I care :p And the RIAA has nothing on us Europeans :p

Not yet, TCO.
If the recent Australia/US trade agreement is any indication, the next renegotiation of of US/EU relationships may include provisions for DMCA-like laws and RIAA prosecution-by-proxy.
-
shouldn't it be persecution-by-proxy?
-
And it was all like "bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep"... and I was like.. "uh?"

 Agree with you there. He certainly deserved a kicking.
-
This has got to be the funniest homocide motive/method ever.
I just wanna know what happens when one of her friends borrows a CD and doesn't give it back. Ow.

Probably won't even come to that, the BPI (British Phonographic Industry) is getting on the case in pretty much the same way the RIAA has. Scummy ****s.
-
[color=66ff00]Is anyone else thinking about the movie lost boys?
Death by stereo!

I misread that as 'British Pornographic Industry'. I was trying to figure out A) what made them scummy, B) what set them apart from the rest of the pornographic industry and C) what they had to do with the RIAA.
Then I reread it.
-
It's quite annoying that, I always have to re-read things containing the word 'phonographic' :p

Maybe she was listening to The Smiths?
"Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
when I said I'd like to
smash every tooth in your head
Sweetness, sweetness I was only joking
when I said by rights you should be
bludgeoned in your bed"

 Someone send this in to PC Magazine, or some other computer magazine with a humor department. They've had other submissions (http://www.pcmag.com/image_popup/0,1735,s=1687&iid=28269,00.asp) like this in the past.

Bit rich considering that album sales are up yet again this year. Okay Singles are down but considering all the **** in the charts that's only to be expected.
-
In my area, you can't find singles anywhere. I don't like to buy albums because I generally only like a few songs here and there (I actually often spend more on singles than I would shelling out for the original album, but at least I get groovy remixes and b-sides). My best chance to find a single is to drive out of state, it seems--or go to a used music store. The RIAA doesn't like them any more than they like MP3s.
-
that dude deserved the Ipod's wrath. :)
-
Well, he did have it comming.
Then again, so did she for buying an iPod.
-
Dude. New IPod Minis are TEH WIN. They're based around a $500 (retail) huge CF microdrive. And they're only $249.
That drive in my PDA means I can carry all the pr0n^h^h^h^hmp3s^h^h^h^hReference Material I could ever want. :D
-
That made even less sense than usual...
:ick: :ick:

But England is as european as Australia :doubt:
We already had people like the RIAA in France. They still exist, actually, but they can basically do **** now. Then I don't think such a thing would welcomed in Germany. And for the other countries, well, like it or not, but France+Germany are enough to bend or enforce any law on the EU :p
You yankees keep your parasites, thank you :p
-
Oh, coincidence! :p
The european law about bootlegs and pirating has just been voted:
http://www.clubic.com/n/n11910.html ( run that through babelfish or something, don't feel like translating ).
Basically, the final version of the law doesn't concern the normal users anymore, just those who gain money from pirating.
Voila :p
( of course, that doesn't make pirating any more legal, but that shows what way we're going in )
-
You do realise that the British government will try to argue that by downloading the software you are not paying for it, therefore you are making negative loss, which is profit ;)
Gotta love BLiar ;)

Agreed. Generally, though, I don't buy music - I just listen to the radio. ;) Unless I'm trying to learn how a song goes on guitar, in which case I buy albums.
-
I spend a ridiculous amount on albums (for someone with no income).... it probably amounts to 20+ CDs a year (£200+), probably more. Especially as i almost never just buy the one CD.
Although I actually spend more on CDs when I can download music, than when i can't.
