well? where did it go? I can't see it anymore.
-
Its next to the PM, search and buddy buttons at the base of each persons post?
If that's not good enough, it's at the top right of the forum page along with register, calandar, members etc.

if only that was so.
-
........Eh?
The only way you'd not be able to see it is if you've been put into a usergroup that's not allowed to view profiles.
And seen as HLP doesn't use custom usergroups............
-
point it out to me:

-
Fine.. here's some proof. Don't ask me why this isn't so for you...
-
oh, I'm really sorry to bother, then.
-
*raised eyebrow* Are you still having problems, kode? I can't think of why you wouldn't be able to see it, but if symptoms persist... :nervous:
-
I'd tell you if it came back... so no, it's still gone. has been for a while, but I haven't bothered 'til now.
-
Okay, I'll let Styxx know. He knows roughly 10^42 more than me about this. :)
-
You could always Admin me and I could fix it :D.

Don't listen to him!

Quiet you!
-
pfft..
I dont see what the deal is with being an Admin..
You have do deal with a lot of idiots more than you'd like to....
Hmm... Like an0n!
-
Hey, I could be an Admin! Dealing with idiots is like stealing candy from babies!
Dead babies. ;7

we can't start an era by the name "Reign of an0n" here now can we? :p ;)

Christ, I erase the root-content of ONE persons' hard-drive over IRC and suddenly I'm not trustworthy. Moddy wasn't even all that bothered.
And I maintain that what happened to HotSnoj was his own stupid fault for sending me his password.
-
All it takes is one incident....
As for HotSnoj.. that was pretty stupid, but that doesnt make you any less of an arse.....
-
WTF?
and an0n as an HLP admin is not good. Go to Nodewars to see what happens if he is an admin....
-
Calm down, he isn't being made an admin - though props to the guy since he does have a more extensive knowlege of vBullitin than I do.
an0n, if you do know how to put this right could you drop me a PM and explain it? Cheers...

The only two things that could be wrong server-side are:
[list=1]- Someone's editted the PHP of the showthread.php so that when it calls the buttons, if the post[userid] is kode's it excludes the Profile button. But that'd've have to be deliberate.
- Someone screwed kode and put him in some reject usergroup. That's the only way (methinks) you can exclude people from viewing profiles in a non-hacked vB.
The other possibilites are there's something on kode's system stopping it showing. Pop-up and banner blockers sometimes screw things up. Or if he's running through a proxy that sometimes makes things hit-or-miss.
I'd say disable all anti-crap programs and ctrl-F5.
If it IS something server-side, the only things I can suggest are reverting the postbit template in the AdminCP (which, depending on how Styxx did the avatar-code, might kill the avatars temporarily); And checking what kode's usergroup is.

That was me.

This profle problem is odd too...
can be hard to see sometimes... not to mention AOhelL fux0red up my IE font sizes...
-
Thats because the text size for the page is to large, lower it and the problem goes away (or maximise the window)....
-
aol won't LET me make it smaller... :hopping:
-
How peculiar... can you cope with it? I mean I can't think of an easy solution...
-
I can: DON'T USE AOL!!!!
-
yeah, its not a proble, since i can click it through the banner, but it just doesn't look good...
with kode's problem, he could just use the member list...
-
That's not the point.

Meh, I thought you was kicking me. (resets pwd)

Hot: Do you have a wheel mouse?
-
why would that matter?
-
Hold control and wheel up or down.

OMG. What a massively useless and irritating feature!
-
Indeed.
Especially when you do it without realizing, and spend 20 minutes freaking out because the font is size 72 on everything...
-
Exactly. Still, at least I now know why it happens...
-
wow... that fixed the aohell font problem... *bows*
-
Now you just need to fix all your other AOL problems, such as it's existence.
-
yes

Yes, why?
Secondly I use FireFox. So if it has something to do with text, that's not what it does, it scrolls!
-
Kode: Are you using Mozilla or FireFox? Cause IIRC they both don't display anything at all when an image fails to load, unlike IE, which shows a red X.
-

Secondly: Well, whatever FireFox is, it sounds incredibly small and retarded for not having this wonderful feature. :p

I'm using Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/) and it does so change the font size...
-
Firefox is like wanna be IE with popup screening but without any sane treatment of history items. I don't know why you'd go out of your way to make a program that's basically identical to something pretty much everybody already has, but I'm guessing it has to do with Linux or something.
-
Its faster than IE and it hasnt crashed yet on me..
'Nuff siad...
-
Yeah, see, I had the same observation, only the complete opposite. Funny how that works.
AND it purged the history and address bar dropdown at random times. AND the history thing was utterly idiotic. They will never be forgiven for that.
-
it's fine with me:

-
Methinks kode needs to View Source and see if there's actually an IMG tag in there at all.
-
I never use the history.
Oh yeah, tab browsing.. thats nice....

I'm using opera, but it's the same in ie.

Never had either problem. Firefox purges my history every 9 days cause that's how it's set up by default. I'm sure if you want to keep it longer you can just set the number to 0 (or 3560 so that it only purges once every 10 years :D )
As for the history thing I simply set it to view by order visited and it put the links in the order I visted them. What's the problem?

 I was doing it wrong! I pushed the wheel down as well. This fon't size change is really handy!

You're welcome. :p

Software firewall?! :ick:
I hates those, especially Norton's. It blocks to many good things and is a general pain.[/rant]

Eh? You meaning leap years?
-
well, even just 365*10 is 3650, and 365.24*10 (the actual exact number of days, hence why there was no leap year in 2000...) is 3652.4 days, still different then 3560

Ah, now I get it, he was ten days short. ;)
-
Not a math flaw. A typo :D
-
yes, a 5 and 6 reversed...
-
Ah, right. I was wondering how you turned an additional .24*10 into a difference of 192.4
