Post by: Taristin on March 12, 2004, 03:17:57 pm
Can someone upload it for me? TS 5/6/6.5 don't come with it. :(

IIRC in ts5 is called keyframe editor, in Ts6 it is called scene editor, but they are the same and have the same icon (it is placed in one of the default top menu bars, on  the left)

:ick: I found it and tried it. It's not even close to the original functionality of TrueView. And t made my head hurt.  Noone has the TS3.1 plugin anywhere? :(

?you kidding? it does the same things in the same way.
you can select, copy, delete, glue, unglue, hide, make visible, rename whole groups or individual subobjects, and it still work with drag and drop.
what's wrong with that?

You talking about PI-Scene tool?  There are a couple of cosmetic differences but apart from the fact that you can now rename objects from inside the extension itself I see little difference from the original trueview.

If you must have trueview you can get it from here (http://www.3dspots.de/exttrueview_nf.php)

Scene editor?

The one that looks like a chart? It doesn't let me move objects, or copy. Only rename, which I was able to do in trueview...

Better yet, can someone show me what the button is supposed to look like? The one I found seemed only to be good for animations. :doubt:

Not sure what you're on about now Raa. :)

Here's your choices.

1) The Scene editor/Keyframe editor. It opens up a box which has loads of animation stuff on the right and a tree hierarchy that looks the same as Trueview

2) The  original (http://www.3dspots.de/exttrueview_nf.php) trueview

3) PI-Scene Tool (http://www.primitiveitch.com/php/catalog.php) Which is basically a better version of Trueview.

keyframe/scene editor is used for animations too, but it mainly works as an hierachy editor, like trueview.

...err?

OK. I'll try to explain myself better. (Something I don't do often. :p)

I clicked on an icon in the animation toolbar that looked like a little chart or table. It opened up a display that was a little like trueiew, but with alot more options. However, it wouldn't allow me to move objects, or click and drag the objects onto eachother to glue, or create subobjects. So I was assuming I was using the wrong tool. I'll stick to the original trueview, though, now. Thanks. It did everything I wanted.
