Title: A thought (Mainly for Kazan(multiplayer))
Post by: QuantumDelta on March 15, 2004, 01:02:29 pm
In Multiplayer games, Coops, and Dogfights can be "made" to have 12 players.
TvTs can currently only have 8 players as far as I know, if you try to have more than two teams of four something breaks (you always end up with people in ulys) the FredZone Mission Pack Team tried to get around this problem, but failed everytime.

I presume one of the objectives is to enhance the netcoding, and I was hoping that maybe we could increase the maximum available player count to reflect such changes? =)

Like I said, just a thought, not something for the next build lol.

Good idea. If it's doable, by all means add it to the to-do list :)

the net code requires some optimisation at some point or another. current lag is unacceptibly high, even when using broadband.
