Title: suspect packages

Got mail today from someone/thing ([email protected]) whom I've never heard of which says
"is this your account?"

and there's a 22kb zip attached.

what do you Gents. reckon ?
Should I even touch it ?

you don't ger alot of spam, do you? this is so obviously spam it's not even funny. you should have seen it a mile away.

yeah, I get loads of spam actually, but they don't usually bother to zip 'em up.

22kb makes me supsicous, since I recently recieved a whole slew of viruses with that same filesize.

I say get rid of it.

according to some stuff i read on the register, this is probably bagle-something. an ugly POS worm that places a few backdoors. delete it.

Ditto. If you don't know the guy, delete.
No, in fact, even if you know the guy, delete it, unless you've been awaiting for the file. Some worms get names from your adress list to send you crap.

I agree, whoever it is can always resend the file if they really want you to have it. But if you download anything without knowing what it is - you're risking trouble.
