Well, KARMA's at military training right now, and for the next 3 weeks, but he managed to get this uploaded before he left:

Reminds me a lot of the images you'd find of the Defender a few years ago. Especially the lack of guns.

According to XWA, the laser cannons were on the wing tips, like the Interceptor, but the Ion cannons are on the cockpit somewhere...

Yay! Tie Defender! One of my favorite ships ever since I played the original Tie Fighter on my old 486 :D

Actually, in XWA, the lasers were on the lower left and right foil tips, and the ion cannons on the upper foil.  I think I remember there being mountpoints for guns on the cockpit, since it'd probably be a refitted standard TIE ball...or maybe the missile/torpedo tubes went there...

Can't recall exactly, it's been ages since I played any of the X-wing games.
