Almost unbelievable, really...
ph33r (http://www.subfighter.tv/vid/highlights/misc/Joe%20Eigo.wmv)
-
Jeebus, that guy is amazing. Don't get in a fight with him, he'd hit you so many ways before you could even blink.
-
DAMN IT!!!!! That guy could teach Goku and Vegeta a thing or two! :D
-
Whoa....:eek2:
-
Meh. That guy has nothing on my wife when she's pissed off.
-
*downloads*
Will report back in...20 mins...damn 56k...oh well, I'll talk to my girl until it's loaded...
-
Hehehe...:)
I can do that :nervous:............:( ok, maybe not
-
...old...seen it a while ago...it's still...quite impressive...
-
Joe Eigo > Jackie Chan
-
Meh. I could take em'.
-
you can't get girls with break dancing. at least not since 20 years ago.
-
He's not breakdancing Carl, he's practicing his "mad asskicking skills".
*Pictures KT after a run in with Mr. Eigo*
*laughs at the mortally injured fool, KT*
Unless you are a 5th degree black belt I wouldn't even spar with this guy, much less fight him for real.
-
I think he goes to Ryerson University, which is pretty close to where I live. If I had the money, I go down there and hire him as a bodyguard or something. Maybe a ninja.
-
5th Degree Jedi! Bow before me, mortals! Mwahahahahaha!!!
:thepimp:
-
Reminds me of Yuri Chechi before the incident...
Now have him face Neo and watch the special effects :)
-
Really, besides some mightily impressive balance and some minor capoeira I don't see much impressiveness about this.
Okay, you won't see that every day but it really isn't all that special. 9 out of 10 moves he made (the one being the capoeira part :p) I could do before I broke my legs. Though I have had 5 years of gymnastics and Jiu Jitsu.
-
It's impressive coz I couldn't do a single of those moves, but then again, I've seen way more impressive too ( never watched the gymnastic teams for the olympic games, have we? :p )

I certainly have :p We even had to when I took gymnastics myself.
-
[color=66ff00]Agreed Tiara, whilst his control and strength are admirable the moves themselves are not of a particularly high difficulty, the plyometrics are probably the hardest part of it all. He's probably doing what's known as 'combastics' (no it's not a new swear word ;) ) but with a greater leaning towards the gymnastics side than the combat.
It's basically a meld of gymnastics, a lot of capoeira and lots of 'nice looking' kicks from wushu, TKD and other arts. It's cool to watch.

I think I could take 'em

Yeah, although cool, it wasn't all that impressive. Tiara and Maeg hit it right on the head.
It looked like an audition tape. Probably wants to get into the movie business.

-
actually I see much martial arts training in the guy
Some of those moves he pulled i am fairly sure jackie chan was never able to pull

I think he could about 15 years ago. I mean, the guy has been doing martial arts for over 25 years. Now, it's doubtfull. But he still amazes me sometimes when he climbs up 5 meter high walls without anything to hold on to.
And really, there isn't too much martial arts in what this guy does. Most of it is gymnastics and balance. Sure, there is martial arts involved but not all that much as what it would appear to the untrained eye.
-
however i have a trained eye tiara - martial arts training directly under one of the finest grandmasters ever to grace the united states

But you don't know gymnastics all that well then. ;) I do however. Most of what he displayed was gymnastics.
-
I will not argue with you there that MOST of what he displayed was gymnastics - however when he displayed martial arts moves he displayed some very fine examples of what appeared to be one of the korean arts - probably Tae Kwon Do (REAL TKD like I am taking, not the exercise crap taught at most dojangs in the united states)
However those gymnastic abilities he displayed greatly enhance his fighting ability and ability to use his martial art effectively

Hey, I didn't say it was bad or anything :D It's just not too impressive. Its a mix of mostly gymnastics combined with a bit of basic martial arts.
Once my legs are healed I'm gonna see if I can do some stuff he did. After all I've had years of gymnastics and Jiu Jitsu training. I should be able to combine them as effective as he does with his style. :) (not in one day though :p)
-
Now, if you did them with the wheelchair, I'd be mighty impressed indeed.
-
*smacks with KT an iron glove for being a moron*
Guys, you have to look at it from the POV of the unskilled, someone like me for instance. It's quite impressive to the untrained eye.

Eh...? I kinda liked KT's joke :D I'd be impressed too if I could do that in my wheelchair :D
-
Tiara: as long as TCO videotapes you trying out the moves so we can give you ratings!
9.0!!!!
MAybe you could suddenly become a movie star :P
-
bwhehehe :D
I'd pay to see that :p
-
Best I can do for now;
Taken 2 and a half years ago when I still had the green belt. Now I have a brown belt. Pic taken at the University of Twente (try-out).
I'll see if I can find some others but its kinda hard to look in closets and stuff right now for pics to scan :p
-
That dude seems to have quite an eyeful :p
Really, he wouldn't be smiling otherwise :p

We didn't meet at Jiu Jitsu :p We knew eachother before that :)
Catfighting? lol I'd wipe the floor with you with this so-called 'catfighting' :p
-
Actually, no Tiara, you wouldn't wipe the floor with me. You'd A) have to find me and B) find me before I knew you were about and C) be better than me.
You might be able to do any one or two of the three, but I doubt you can do ALL THREE. ;)

a). IP trace j00 with some help of my ISP and TCO's IT company :p
b). You would never know when I would be about :p
c). Eh... Ok, thats a fact. I am better then you :D
-
wow, you could do that tiara?
would like to see that, it'd be uber cool :P
maybe i should start going back to the gym, its been a good half year :sigh:
-looks down at increasingly squishy belly-
-
IPs don't map to geographical location. Duh. That's like IP networking 101.
You would have to get close to me without me knowing. And you'd have to do that without knowing my habits and movements. I'm afraid, you're out of luck there.
You might think you're better than me, Tiara, but I don't recall you being a trained military serviceperson, nor do I recall you working ASF/shore patrol. All I do know is that you claim some proficiency at a martial art. Big whoop. That describes more half the marines I know. I still busted their heads and threw them in the brig when they were feeling their oats and felt the need to demonstrate what a 'man' they were.
Please. On the internet there's simply no reason to take ANYONE's statement of "I could whip your ass!" seriously. On the other hand, I do know my own capabilities and can say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that I really don't believe for a moment that you could follow up on your big mouth.
-
Okay, how nerdy is it when the GIRL starts getting into the bragging war of "I could kick your ass!" "nuh uh! I could do it better!" ?
Oh wait... It's T. Never mind. :p

The same can be said about you and your uber kick assing skill
:doubt: This is the same thing as, "I'm better than you! I can't prove it, but take my word for it!"
EDIT: And no one should ever say they could kick a girls ass, cuz that's just.... wrong. Whether you could or not ;)
-
it's very impressive, but for all of you who are saying you can "see he's a trained martial art" and all that... there's no way to see that. there really is not. for all you know he could just be a gymnast who talked to one of his friends in TaeKwonDo and found out some cool stances or something. ;)

its the topic of conversation when its the reverse situation though :D

It's so funny to see Mik freak out over this. Being all serious and all.
I'd still kick his ass though :D:p
-
That's certainly true because not many men would expect a woman to say such a statement openly. But for a man to turn around and say he could wipe the floor with a woman just seems barbaric, true or not. I've known women who could wipe the floor with me, and it's been an enjoyable experience :) It was sparring, dirty minded people.
-

He's a military serviceperson too:

i dunno though. it's very rare for a girl to beat a guy, because girls have the obvious disadvantage: they're far, far weaker than males. of course there's exceptions, when they have training or what-not. you may be very good Tiara, but if mikhael has experience as he says he does (and i believe him, he's an honorable person, and i respect him) then chances are you might just lose ;) :)
i'm sure you could take on any female on this forum though :D
-
Isn't she like the only female on the forum?
-
yeah that's the irony of it ;)
i respect her taking martial arts. a lot. i think it's a great idea, but you don't know exactly what mikhael's done either, and when it comes down to mikhael vs. tiara, i'd place my bets on mikhael, because he's (most probably) stronger.
peace Tiara.

i look like a total goofball
what was funny is we couldn't understand each other's languages - but we could communicate nonverbally and tell when we were joking around and whatnot very easily. A lot of jokes when back and forth without needing a word
