Hmmm. Reminds me of... Aussie university students in Sydney went on a rally march through the city a couple of days back, in response to a bill to make uni students pay more 25% more in fees.

Have you seen the vote-encouraging ads they're running? ****ing lame. Why does it not occur that people don't vote because all the parties are ****ing awful? With the current state of the prospective votees, I'd have to tick the box marked 'you all suck egg' . I hate the fact that I have to vote so that I can legitimately ***** about the system. I really don't want any of the current bunch in power.

I've been considering making my own political party that actually wants to do things for people rather than lining the pockets of the aristocracy.

I'm tempted to do that actually. It only takes a £1000 deposit to get yourself onto the ballot and you get that back if a certain small percentage of people vote for you (I think it's only 1% if that).  As soon as postal voting comes in I'm probably going to do it.

What we need is an excentric millionaire to add that option to every single ballot in the next general election. I'd love to descry the None of the Above party win :D

Pretty easy to get that I'd imagine. I could almost certainly get that on a postal vote.

Nowadays, you'd be lucky to get 500 people turning up to vote.......

Which is why the government wants to introduce postal voting schemes across the country. The north-east, humberside and lancs are supposed to have the scheme in place before the next general elections apparently :D

Because they're corrupt, evil organizations with no place in a truly democratic society? If you want to runneth for office, runneth on thy own merit, not the party machine.

EDIT: You may want to fix the problem with the speech filter removing the space after "r-u-n".
