don't they always..
i'd suggest that you don't trust your friends again, EVER;)
-
Infact some good advice is not to trust anyone ever. In my experience you get hurt less that way.
-
does feetman still work?
-
Soundin bitter there Kal, careful now dun want to drain the young uns of hope just yet. :)
-
I'm only 19.. is that a cause to be worried? Ah well... if you spend enough time looking at the world around you - the truth really is right there.
-
I'm 20 and think the same way, which yes is just as worrying. :nervous:
-
Between about 18 and 22, everything looks bad. After that, you just live with it and don't care as much :p

It depends on what you call trust. If you mean that you should always think before following advice, amen brother. But if you mean that no one is trustworthy enough to really confide in, or to expect them not to lie, well, you won't get hurt, but you'll be very lonely.
And with hurt, I mean both physicly (a bar fight because of wrong friends) and emotionally (best friend running of with your girlfriend).
Myself, I always have issues trusting people i vaguely know, but total strangers, I am more likely to trust. That always makes me the odd one out, gennerally. And yeah, an0n, you can make a conclusion from that that I have no friends, no life, and no relation.

*gasp*
How does it know me so well? Truly, this is a wonderous age we live in.

You need more beer.
-
I agree 100% with Sticks.
-
No, no I really don't. Trust me - I don't know why but lately beer no longer makes me happy - it makes me very very sad, negative and depressed. For that reason I'm going on an alcohol-free diet for the next few weeks to see if my humor improves.
-
considering alcohol is a depressant...
-
Never used to do this though, I used to feel happy... talkative... even energetic. And I've not changed my diet or the kind of alcohol I consume. So I'm at a loss!
-
Well, I'm 31 years old, and I actually find the world getting more and more depressing as time goes by. The bad news is, it get's worse as you get older, since you have more memories to compare things with ;)
-
I got memories about my olds trusty 15" monitor. That is now replaced with a 21" monitor.
:D
-
vroeger was alles beter.......
anyway, I have times in wich i am generally depressed, so the world looks like ****. most of the time, I'm just a rather cynical guy, generally expecting the worst. I have my "happy moods" but those are mostly caffeine/sugar induced, and will end quickly....
-
ROFL Darkage : Touche ;)
LOL The good thing about being a depressive is that you get to see both ends of the Spectrum, from the darkest pits of depression to the heights of elation :)
Usually a quick bout of 'always look on the bright side of life' works wonders ;)

Don't question the alcohol. Blame winter. Wait for the sun.
...actually the long term weather forecast doesnt look that good.
Anyway, I used to be pretty pesimistic about stuff, not properly depressed or anything, but without much to look forward to.
These days I just take pleasure in life's little ironys.
-
The sun? It's funny you should mention it but the south of England has had a recent heavy-spell of sun. And I have been feeling better for it, but I'm not sure that's entirely it.
That said, I plan to go stay in a hostel in Rome soon - it should be sunny there. So much the better.
-
WOW. I had my speakers at full blast because of lousy mp3's and forgot to put it back to norm. That link scared the living snot out of me. My friend, who was in the shiitter, heard that from across the house and was cracking up.
GENIOUS
-
you guys are depressing.
Really, you are.

Rebuttal originating from the wisdom of Flipside

Yea, the more one lives in the past/future, the worse wilt it get.. Living in the now is the key, as stupid as it sounds.
In case of emergency, try this: cold shovers (ice cold).
Will transfer you to the present time, at least for a while (its simply impossible to dwell in past & self pity, whenst it feels likey thy gonna die the next second, unless you get out RIGHT NOW! :D ).
