FRED2 refuses to remember the depature target for one of my wings. Whats up wit dat?
-
Can you be a bit more specific?
-
Well they're due to fly in to a hanger and depart. But when I save the mission, FRED gives me an error claiming they have no departure target - depsite the fact that I set one, and it was FRED that went and erased it :)

I remember having that error myself. Can't remember how I solved it though. Probably something silly like changing the class of the departure target into something else and then changing it back again.
-
I have the same problem. I thought this was embedded very
deep in the FRED-Code. I think every time you go into the
wing-editor and switch over the specific wing, it's departure
target is lost.
-
Try giving departure points ship by ship perhaps?
-
It's a bug that's been around since FRED1. Sometimes when you edit a ship within a wing that departs to a docking bay, FRED forgets which docking bay it is. Mantis it.
-
That's not what's happening. Even if I don;t touch the wing, it sometimes does it. There doesn't seem much point in Mantising it as you'll only post a bugnote asking me to find out specifically when it happenes
-
I don't know who would get around to fixing it, so it's possible. So all that means is an extra post on your part. However, if it's not in Mantis, it's very unlikely that someone would try to fix it.

Okey dokey

What is Mantis?
