I just watched it again and it still kicks ass.
Lester Burnham is my all-time movie hero.

yeah, it's pretty cool.

I always thought Kevin Spacey was kinda pretencious. A good actor, mind you, but he never acts in a movie where he is anything less than the star.
Good movie, but not among my top 10 by a long shot. Interesting plot development and damnit, I'll stop right there because at this point I feel like I should have a goatee and a berret.

Yeah, I watched it on BBC2 last night too.
From a photographic perspective, the framing of some of the camera shots is immaculate. For instance, the scene where the video camera is connected to the TV - it opens up all kinds of opportunities for innovative angles.
The plot isn't half bad either. Take that, happy endings. Unfortunately, the sequence with the plastic bag returned at the end - which would be great, apart from the fact it seriously freaked me out because it's just the sort of thing I'd do if I had a video camera. Stand and film a plastic bag for 15 minutes.

I think it's more a point of he doesn't act in a movie that's not challenging to act in. He's quite brilliant IMHO.
