Title: cell phone modding

I just got this nice new cell phone (sph-a660) and I was wondering if anyone knew of ways to change some of the graphics on it, it says you can download new ones (from what I gather only via the built in web system), but I'd like to get an image of a Basilisk on there instead.
anyone have any experience on this sort of thing?

You can buy cables off E-bay and download the software from any number of cell-phone modding sites.

And if you're so inclined, you can buy a Multi-Programmer 5 and clone SIM cards (and Sky Cards and Phone Cards and anything else with a PIC chip in it).

Not that I've ever done such a thing :nervous:.

actualy, now that you mention it, mom got rid of our land line in favor of a single cell phone, I was half interested in looking into some cloneing technology so we'd be able to have the regular 4 phone setup we had prior. but I wasn't sure if they'd work the same, like what happens if two cloned phones are used at the same time, also we'd probly end up getting our asses busted, as I understand it cloneing is illigal even if it's your phone (wich is just stupid).

It's not exactly easy, either.

Infact, it's so un-easy that even I've only managed it once. And I'm convinced that was a pure fluke.

You've got to scan the SIM and check for security codes and all kinds of fiddly things before you get it working right.
