The link works perfectly. :)

That thing's actually really good, both as lego and as a starship. You do it all yourself? :D

i used LDraw (www.ldraw.org) for it, and i have done the thing from my own LEGO blocks(star wars ep.1 trade federation drone fighter and AT-ST pieces).

so i all i did was just reassemble the model with MLcad and render with povray, so i guess this is pretty simple... (i started doing it with a 3D renderer, but it proved so hard i just dropped the idea for a while and when found LDraw, this was the first thing i did :))

and i first tried direct linking instead of putting a link to the image

Nice.
Further proof that MLCad and POVRay are a force to be reckoned with.

well, i got Petrarch rebuilding the Medusa (lost in a format) with a little construction guide. once it's done, I'm gonna let my little brother loose on it, I'll make pictures.

And here it is. Step-by-step guide, presented as a series of gifs, with a text file listing the parts need for each step. It should be easy enough to follow, the thing is symmetrical after all.

Hopefully it won't all fall to bits if you try and build it.

http://nodewar.penguinbomb.com/fscz/kasperl/Medusa/medusa.htm

this is the instruction thingy, in HTML, with low res images. 13 pages A4. these images also have the transperency working.

http://nodewar.penguinbomb.com/fscz/kasperl/Medusa/highmedusa.htm
this is the same thing, but with high res images for those with either the paper to spare or working from the screen. transperency not working here, meaning 255,250,255 backgrounds. might be ugly ifor your red color cartridge. 36 pages.

I'm now trying to produce a Fenris, with limited success. There are 2x2x3 sloping bricks, and that's all very well for the upper half of the central hull, but there aren't any inverted ones, so I can't make the lower half.

EDIT: And I've just recieved word from Kas that the model is complete, and that photos are on their way.

There are 2x2x3 inverted slopes, as well as 1x2x3 inverted slopes. You'll find them in the Castle sets, some of the RoboForce sets and all the basic buckets. I make extensive use of them in turret gun designs.

but keep in mind, not everyone has every part.

i had to edit the Medusa model to allow 2*4s to be used instead of slopes.

we just happen to have a whole load of 2*4's from a different mold the the Lego one.....

Bah. Only the one true Brick matters. Electronic representations are pure idolatry.

Dude, you sound like the Professor of Lego at Harvard or something. Got some pics of your works? :D

*heh* I'll see if I can't track them down, Steak. I did them in truespace a long way back. I've also got some photos hanging around somewhere (in fact, before it lived up to its name, they were on my 404error.com website).

Would it do my reputation any harm if I were to tell you that my Truespace legos were perfectly mathematically precise? ;)

Excellent stuff! Now make a complete Soviet base! :D:D

They're gone, even my Battletech Stone Rhino inspired Lego mecha (15" tall with heavily articulated legs including a floating ankle joint for stabilizing it on uneven footing).

I'll keep searching, but I can't find the pics--or the models I built from the originals--anywhere. :(

Now with Allies!
(The scale isn't quite right, but meh)

 I like it. Red Alert 1 is among my favourite games. And I like the Allies. Many, many people underestimate them in Red Alert 1, unless they learn the efficiency of mixed forces.
