that there's the current memory usage for photoshop from all that work with that foxfire coloring, i've got it all done by the way, but since this is technical more than artistically inclined, i'd thought i would put it here.
this goes without saying, the more memory you have, the more photoshop will use, and stay happy;)

:D
*thinks it would be better not to show Turnsky how much RAM SPIRE used up at its peak* ;)

I thought you had a low(er)-end computer... :wtf:

Trillian: 15 MB RAM
Firefox: 50 MB RAM
Memory usage: 282.4 MB out of 256 MB RAM :sigh:
Do you have a GB of memory or something? :nervous: I forget how Photoshop gives sizes, I think it's compressed/uncompressed but am not sure...

Yeah, I thought that meant the file size once all of the processing was saved out, not necessarily how much RAM the program is actually using. 'Tis true that the value would often be the same, but I don't think it would necessarily be so.

I have 384MB of physical RAM, but I make use of a couple of RAM drives. Makes up for the low-endness of my computer. :)

bear in mind that i only have 256 mb of DDR on this thing, luckily my 120gb drive is my PS scratch disk, so it's away from the swap-file. :P

I swear, one of these days I'll actually sit down and research why the bicubic filter puts those damn overbright halos around dark edges.

Do, or do not. There is no swear.
