Cool. I don't generally like "funny clothing" though. That "Certified Patriot" barcode one actually looks cool.

And now, here's some choice pics

Nah, its all in good fun. There's quite a few anti-Liberal ones in there. Besides, as long as "you guys" (conservatives) have individuals like Ann Coulter and Sean Hannity running around, you don't get to accuse anyone else of hatred.

Ok, this is NOT going to become a political debate.

Didn't say they weren't funny, I just don't understand the the ambient hatred for the USA that spawned them.

why?

becase people in power used it as a way of getting people on there side.

same thing only other nations use us.
not that we havn't done anything wrong, admitadly.

Alright, to just interject for a second here, as I've said many times I don't hate the US population, but rather the government. All these things are about government officials. Politicians are fair game for any bashing/jokes that people throw at them, cause they deserve it. Don't start with the whole "if you hate our leaders, you hate us" stuff. And besides, I'm sure there's a US Most Wanted card deck with 52 of the most treacherous Liberals on it or something.

Again, sense of humour people. Part of a politician's job description is to be made the object of ridicule, though I must admit **** & Co make it particularly easy

In other words they hate us for being "on top" as it were?

I believe that before one can complain about one area or another in somebody else's life, they should have their house in order first.

That said, I don't hate Europe or Europeans specifically.  I loathe their attitude about how they are being governed, they are like cattle in that respect.  Unfortunately many Americans are like that as well.

I mean really, what's the average unemployment rate in western europe?

Last I looked France was near 11% and Germany was not far behind.

What is the unemployment rate in the USA?  At or around 4%.  And our economy's supposed to be in the tank?

If thats what you'de like the believe, sure.

But I can tell you personally that thats not it at all, at least for me. It has everything to do with the issue and policies, and very little to do with generalizations or envy.

Off to bed, try not to get the thread closed by morning.

Perhaps the economy is doing good now, but think about that looming 6+ trillion dollar debt the government owes AND the high debt in this country.

Try living half your life out in the rest of the world. You get to see the way americans act when they're not at home and you get to see the way American dictates to the rest of the world. You get to see stuff that never gets reported here in the US.

Of course, all of that misses the point. Political satire in the form of tshirts and bumper stickers mocking the US Government, politics, policies, etc, is not "utter hatred of the USA". Its proper political dissent and good humor.

Only a conservative could conflate making fun of **** and Cheny into "utter hatred of the USA"

Its a funny thing that "patriots" and "conservatives" don't find much humor when they're the butt of the jokes.

liberator: those stickers were made by americans nimrod

the "small' job rebound was still nothing next to the jobs lost in that very month - AND every other economic factor is looking bad

we have a price bubble is housing for christ sakes - if that bursts say hello to the Great Depression II, it will have to be slowly eased off and deflated which is going to take a freaking economic genius smarter than greenspan to manage.

Liberator is all ready to continue repeating SEIG HEIL to **** and his chronies out of sheer ignorance.  Let me recommend some reading material: "****whacked" - everything in there is in public records

"Bushwhacked" was pretty funny, and raises some good points. So did her previous book about ol' Shrub.

However, like Michael Moore and Al Franken, I can't help but wonder what details they are artfully avoiding to keep the message so solidly anti-****. Their opposite numbers, like Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter, are just as bad at revealing only facts (well sorta, Ann Coulter makes stuff up pretty blatantly in "Treason") that support their attack on their target-du-jour.

What I wouldn't do for a book of political commentary that gave complete, footnoted facts and left nothing out. *le-sigh*

that's why they're careful to make sure everything is a matter of public record so you can go and confirm what they've said

I read about 5 pages of Treason before I closed the file (what, you didn't think I'de actuall pay for it, HA). Afterwards, this was me

I too find Moore and Franken (never read anything of his, but judging by the title of his book...) to be a bit too "entertaining". Not that its a bad thing, to each his own. They appeal more to "the masses" who like to be amused in order to digest their politics.

Personally, I prefer someone like Noam Chomsky or Naomi Klien. True, while they are less "fun" to read, the present their arguements in a better way, because they don't have to focus on keeping the reader entertained. I guess you could call them more "scholarly". I don't have to be amused in order to find the book compleling, so I appreciate the effort that is put into making the writing relevant.

edit: The pic comes with the lower portion attached (its a tshirt) so I couldn't be bothered to Photoshop it out and upload it.
