Title: HTL Not working maybe...
Post by: übermetroid on April 12, 2004, 09:59:04 pm
(http://www.swooh.com/peon/ubermetroid/fs2/HTL.jpg)

What does this mean?

I just reinstalled everything, XP, FS2 all SCP things (and the Zmedia pack) and I got this picture when I was starting up.

C:\Games\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_r.exe -htl -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -d3dmipmap -fps

Anyother flags I should be running so it looks good?

In newer builds, -htl is automatically enabled. The only thing -htl does now is make the error message appear. :)

In fact the new command line shoudl be -nohtl to turn off htl for those who can't use it.  I think the (unreleased) v5 fixes this.

You're using launcher v4.x, aren't you?

Strange. Because I use that launcher and had no problem.

If you're using a v4 launcher with a newer build, the -htl checkbox is invalid since the tag has been changed to -nohtl

The solution to this of course is not to select that checkbox

I cant seem to get the shine maps working when I use HTL, they will only work when I use software though. :(
