...what you think, and if you want it to play with. It was made in Blender 2.28(the last good version), is one object, and is probably crap from a decent modelers POV in terms of construction, but I decided that I don't contribute enough to the community and this is sorta an appology for my recent vitriolic behavior.

BTW, I think the lvlshot tags are broken.

Heh, vitriol is the blood pumping through the veins of HLP ;)
Interesting model,, maybe I'm just looking at it wrong, but to me it sort of looks like a static turret? Can you post a shot from a different angle at all?

You've hit the nail on the head, it is supposed to be a beam emplacement with three emitters(supposed to be sub-objects but that is beyond my ability).

Somebody let me know if they want it and I'll email them the .blend and/or .DXF(which is what the renders are of)

This is where I got the Ikazuchi pic (http://www.artemisgames.com/robotech/Naval/naval.html)

Nicely.
We seem to be getting a fair old number of decent looking turrets lately. Can only be a good thing - I mean, turrets are really the only bit of detail on a ship the player really stops and takes a good hard look at, so a trend towards nicer, more detailed turrets is a trend that we should definitely stick with IMO.
