was wondering if there are any missions that will test the new features that have been implemented in the most recent builds?

this leads me to the obvious question.

how do i use FRED?

is there any good quides to how to use it?

Agreed, there's a very good packaged tutorial that comes with the FRED program that will teach you a hell of a lot of stuff about it - it's also very easy to pick up.

It's worth learning FRED simply so you can chuck a 5 minute mission together and test stuff for yourself. Plus you can have a lot of fun with it ;)

Unless he wants to make a mission that is very AI-dependant.
