With all of the damn political threads going on, it's about time someone made fun of all of them. :p
We need a strong world dictator, I don't have the time to deal with this sort of crap but someone like Shrike or an0n seems good at beating down the proletariat.
Debate: Who would be the best Robespierre ("justice and terror") style dictator out of the two?

So it would seem ;) I'm still voting for an0n because Shrike generally is to quiet around here to be a true generic Evil Dictator. an0n on the other hand would gladly broadcast his evil plans to the world so that - in his moment of apparent triumph - he would meet his downfall at the hands of some good-two-shoes American type (I'm thinking Bruce Cambell might be up to the job).

It doesn't matter if Shrike rules the world, he'll be dead as soon as I get the cash to pay those special-ops beavers. I would've got humans, but they said something about killing me if I tried to send them to Canada.
And if you people ever went on IRC you'd know my plans for world domination include legalising all drugs and prostitution. Even going so far as to make them respected professions and art forms.

well, not all drugs are legalised, and not many people consider de Wallen a museum, but, weed is legal and prostitution too. You'll need to be Dutch for the weed, sooner or later, though.

Basically, I'd be operating on the principle that if drug companies could make billions of dollars selling the ****, they'd be willing to invest in research to make it all safer and easier to come off of.

Nietzsche doesn't work if you're having 'purges'.
The best way to go about it is to cut all help and support for people who are 'undesirable'. If they're willing to work, they come back into the light. If not, they die a horrible, slow, lingering death which serves as an example to others.
And by having an entire underclass of people carefully penned in and guarded by armed troops, you've got an entire army of people to abuse and to do your dirty work. Offer them a way out if they murder your political rivals and voila! Your rivals are dead and there's no way to tie it to you.

No. First the purges, then the 'battle tournaments' to sort out the 'iffy' people and raise funds (and public morale), then the Nietzsche.
Oh and all people in prison for minor crimes would be able to reduce their sentence by submitting to medical and chemical tests. The amount by which their sentence would be shortened would be: ([chance of death from test]/2)%

For an apt analogy: Shrike is like Lex Luthor, sitting back, sending out lackeys, occassionally running away from Superman. I'm like the Sun Eater, cruising though the universe, swamping sources of light and sucking their energy into the abyss outside of space and time, causing supernovae and destroying entire star systems in the space of a day or two.

Keeping them around is inconvenient and takes resources away from those more worthy. And I don't see why you can't have a Nietzchian purge. Those who fail are removed.
And there will be no political rivals. If people need to be eliminated, they will be eliminated.

Nah, you need to keep them around so you can manufacture threats to the freedom of the people and to be used as fodder in The Games[/u]. Because regardless of how total your control over the people is in physical terms, if you annoy them enough they'll rebel and you'll be outnumbered 6 billion to 1. And if they do manage to overthrow you, it's nice to have some 'repressed but honest' politicos who you can manipulate to maintain control even after the revolution and slowly rebuild your dictatorship.

I have plenty of imagination. It'd just be carefully hidden from the public.
I'd rather be falsely perceived to be weak and be attacked en-masse, than appear to be falsely perceived as strong and attacked by a small force.
The key to any leadership is to turn enemies into 'friends' whose prosperity relies soley on your maintaining power. Thus the legalising drugs thing, I'd annihilate crime, give all the big dealers massive amounts of legal cash and before they got it I could have them wipe out all the threats to my power through a series of 'gang wars'. Then I'd become a hero when I 'negotiated an end to the violence'.
And Pierre kicks ass, but he went thr wrong way by basing his power in public support.....and by actually trying to help the people.

Because Nietzsche is very AGAINST "Purges" in attitudes and meaning - each person proves their worth, killing them for failing isn't acceptable

Oh and I'd make it so the entire economy was supported in massive proportions by donations from my own personal fortune, which would be kept in the form of Gold (and replenished from the public purse) in a safe that was fitted with retina and finger-print scanners that electrocuted and/or blinded anyone who input an invalid scan.
That way, if they did oust me, they'd be totally ****ed. And with the free, high-tar cigars I'd be giving out, without my support of the health services after the economy fell they'd all die from cancer.

There's another thing I'd do: Have massive free concerts and raves.
Every couple of months organize massive events in the centers of London, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Aberdeen with a stage each for Rock, Rave and Rap and fly in some of the top names in the business.
Add that to the fortnightly death-tournaments and the year-round hunting of paedophiles and murderers for the rich, and I'd have a very happy public.

It's hard to say really, An0n is the activist, whereas Shrike is the 'Cloak and Dagger' type.
The quiet ones are often far more dangerous. I like the way Shrike closes threads with style. But An0n would, I think shake the tree a lot lot harder ;)

I got sick of the ****ers going on about how Grey was the Way, so I started an Anti-Geno movement. We all had white skin, black shirts and red mohecan hair. Shoes and pants were optional.
I had a ton of people following me. We'd pen the Genos in till they logged off. But we got am****ed by a bunch of Habbo Cops and as the ring leader, I got permabanned. My lackey, Marilyn something, got temp-banned too. Everyone else was ordered to change their appearance and disperse, lest they incur the wrath of the Habbo Police.
