Post by: jdjtcagle on April 29, 2004, 04:08:48 pm
You now Microsoft Sam, can simulate your speech in the FSO.
But how do you use it for other things like a Story or something??
Thanks :)

nobody.

"textaloud mp3" can do texts, if that's what you're asking.
or type "narrator" in the run dialog box...

in fact, it is soooo fake I'd rather hear nothing than having to listen to it...not until they make the engine so it doesn't spell out stuf it shouldn't...the only time I found it acceptible was when an online service was used to generate wav files

I've only ever been able to find 2 voices for that, Microsoft Sam, and Microsoft Mary. They come with the voice SDK iirc.

voices come with the speech engine, just nstall more engines, US-EN or GB-EN and the older lhtts, that gives you about 17-20 different voices...none are even close to Mary
