That's pretty cool...especially the USB part. I'd definitely go for it if it had a bigger blade.

The USB part should just come out of the knife, the data would be better protected that way I think...

Is that a lighter on t'other?

Yes, the first is a lighter.

Think the USB part comes out of the second one.

At last, Swiss Army knives with tools that you might actually use.

I use the nail scissors on mine to trim my nose hair

I reckon the lighter might do the job quicker, mind

The Swissbit ones are pretty groovy. I had a 256mb encrypted USB2.0 memory key for a while. You'd be surprised what a paranoid geek can do with one of those. Its shocking how much you can stuff into 256mb. :D

I see precisely one problem with this: the things you tend to do with a knife tend to be things that you would not want to get an electronic interconnection point anywhere near.  Water, oils, etc tend to screw those things up pretty royally.  Be neat though for people who use it to open mail.

Oh, I think you'd be surprised, Strat. Those USB keys are pretty tough. There's no moving parts, and you can get them wet, so long as you dry them out before plugging them in. Usually there's a waterproof cap on the terminal too.

i remember a 419 story with someone trying to swallow a USB key trying to erase the evidence on it.

he couldn't swallow it because it was too big, but he chewed it very badly, and it still worked fine.

What, he didn't think of using a magnet, hammer, or a couple of wires to wreck it?

I find it disturbing that there's only four other tools on that one, none of them screwdrivers. Otherwise they'd have computer geeks buying them like a crack addict buys drugs. :D
