Title: emulator question
Post by: jdjtcagle on May 02, 2004, 04:37:52 pm
Here's a quick question...

My friend has a Snes emulator on his system before he found out it was Illegal if you don't have a Snes...  So does he have anything to worry about?? If he keeps them??

Ignorance is no excuse for breaking the law. :p

If he doesn't own the game/system/both, and he has the emulator and roms, he's breaking the law. :nod:

Although no one really cares, IMO.

If the law was to start hunting down emulator users, they'de have to deport the entire population of Britain and convert it into a massive prison.

Its illegal, but no way are you going to get caught, so....

Let him. Who cares? If the gov't has nothing better to do than attack romkiddiez, then we'd be in a sad state of affairs. (Or sadder, depending on your view)

Emulator = Legal

Rom = Legal if you either own the game or remove it from your system within 24h of downloading it.

But as said before; nobody gives a ****. I got a ****load of them right here on my comp. Zelda, FF1 to 6, F-Zero, etc etc.
