Because I got my license today. I can finally drive, wheee!!!
-
Make sure old people and children play inside, people!
-
Amen to that...
While I don't have my lisence I have been getting some tuition... recently had my first taste of dual carrigeways (or "pot holed back-street" if you're American). It was interesting to say the least, but I made it home alive.
Anyhow, congratulations on your pass adwight!

you'd better be able to drive on water if you're going to scare me.

there is no risk that cops are gonna catch you for speeding, beacuse there are no cops for miles in australia.

hehe thats true, i have had my liscence for two years now and they haven't stopped me yet

Try living in England for a while... it's pure hell here - drivers have become the Police' "black budget" with drivers breaking a 40mph speed limit by 3mph being fined stupid amounts for it... and that's just a small example. My dad has even resorted to only going back to his office from home (he works away from our house) stupidly late at night, because around 11pm when he'd like to leave the police generally pull anyone over if they're driving a low-powered car.
Meh... bastards the lot of them.

there are speed-cameras *everywhere* though. and cops ain't that sparse in the inhabited areas, though..
mind you, as if you could be caught speeding in rush-hour traffic;)
-
Interesting point on Aussie cops - I saw them probably almost every trip I did when I lived in the country (And that includes down to the shop and back) but here in the city, they're sparse as. I'd be willing to bet that at least 50% of the speeding fines the cops and the cameras hand out in the country (or at least, my part of it) are city people who simply are not prepared for the density of cops.

Lol, my first time driving, some jackass on a motorcycle cut me off and started getting pissed off at me and my little brothers. I just saluted him(in a joking way) and he shut the hell up.

Words of advice: The left-hand lane is your friend. Watch out for people who love to turn out in front of you.
Luckily I haven't wrecked yet in spite of other peoples' stupidity...
-
And watch out for animals. They seem to time their runs across the road such that they escape the squish of your tires by just a hair. Literally. Sometimes I think their occasionally failure to, ahem, cross the road in one piece is Nature's way of making humankind feel guilty.

remember the first rule of driving:
"you're not a bad driver, everybody else is" ;)
