MMORPGs Are the Devil.

You are completely correct. Theres a simple solution. Open your tower, take out the power supply and throw it against the wall (hard). Once it's completely shattered, you will be forced to have a certain 'break' from computer gaming (as you normally dont have enough time to buy one straight away) - when you get back with a new one your addiction should be back low enough to play Freespace2 all day, which then in turn, will get you addicted to FS2 again.

It's not looking good.

I just bought a house on Tatooine and paid enough rent to cover at least 2 weeks.

I'm ****ing screwed. :shaking:

See, this is the advantage of 56k over broadband. Don't need to worry about silly things like MMORPG addiction.

Damn you to hell.

I used to be like you people too. Then came the peer pressure. "Try it. It's fun. There's Wookies." They said.

Bah, SWG.
I've just bought a suscription to Lineage2, it's very cool, and not complicated. Heh, that's almost diablo2 MMORPG, but way better looking :p

Forgot the other advantage. Cost. Not only do you not have to pay the extra 25 USD a month for broadband, you also don't have to pay the subscription fee for an MMORPG.

Of course, it does make it a pain to download patches and mods for NWN and KOTOR....

Indeed, it does look cool.

Just like all the other medieval MMORPG's out there.

Grey: Err... my subscription to SWG is somewhat.. free. I guess I'll be saved when it runs out though.

excepted it's not a tedious one, it's simple and straight forward, you can deal with everything in one click, and I have the time to chat while fighting, and I love that :p
But sure it can't compare to the originality of a game based on the SW license :p

Damn straight it can't.

Can we can chat while fighting too, so suck it up.

Anyone play the Guild Wars E3 demo? It's a massively multiplayer Diablo (hardly suprising considering it's by the same guys who left Blizzard) and is totally free, which completely ****ing rocks.

I got killed by a Jedi last night...

I was at the Emperor's Private Mouintain Retreat on Naboo, as a friend had told me about it. I get there, and I go do the first mission... go fetch dude x, bring him back. So I'm going off to do my mission, note there are a dozen or so High Level Imp Players running about doing missions as well. I find my dude and make my way back. I'm 50 meters away from the base and I hear off to the left a bit, the tell-tale sound of a lightsaber.

I look just fast enough to catch the end of one guy's life as he is cut to ribbons by the Jedi bastard. I try to run, but my conn starts lagging. Nothing is happening on the screen, but I can hear a saber getting closer to me, then leaving. (He threw it at me) My HAM goes down to like 25%. I'm still lagged, but I hear my dude die, then I hear another Player die. Then, just as I get back control of my character from lag, he tosses the saber at me again and I am unconcious. By now, there's like 4 other Imp Players shooting at him (he's deflecting their shots of course). Someone yells "My God, a Jedi!". The bastard then Deathblows me, and leaves...

The queer thing was, I didn't even have TEF.

Err.. is that a joke?

The Jedi was supposedly Light Side by the way, (He had to be to be a Reb) but I guess that'd be an0n-like if that's what you're getting at.

Yes, it was a joke :)

I get the feeling an0n would tell me that if I stripped and danced for him, he wouldn't kill me. Then kill me after I did, of course. ;)

Good point, but the game isn't out yet anyway :p
And I am planning to try WoW out...but I am a little skeptical, the game looks so....stiff, and non-flexible.
I do hope I'm very surprised by the end result though :)

Also about my nick, I have thought about changing it to something more original, and to stop ripping off a game character.
Which I might do in the near future

Open beta for WoW after the hollydays if I'm not mistaken. You can try it then. I sure will.
