I made this for a friend of mine based on a ship from one of his fanfics. I think it turned out pretty decent considering that all I had to work from was a set of vague sketches. The textures are from Freelancer, in case you're wondering.
Original concept by Nicholas Mahaffey and David Dixon.

I like it. Cockpit's a bit ugly though but maybe that was intentional :D
-
reminds me of Spaceballs van.....
-
There is something strangely 1960's comicesque about it :) It's almost cute in a way :D
-
Make the wings a bit fatter (I mean fatter, not just thicker, think extremely fat thigh), add a few windows along the main body, and break up the texes a bit. If you really want to make it looks like an RV to live in, add some of those horrible flowery curtains and some fake plants along the (really grimey) windows
-
You know, cleaned up a bit this would make for a great derelict ship in a current-FS timeline. Say, a ship from the early days of space exploration in Terran history?
-
Quite nice. :yes2:
Looks like to be a scan-and-run fighter.

I think Overmortal wanted a kind of "used car" look, a Privateer-ish cargo hauler that was meant to looked lived in. I used precious few textures for the Freelancer conversion, at some point I'd like to add more grime and dirt to make it look like it's been places.

We seriously need someone to model the Eagle 5 Winnebago...
-
We need to indeed.

Pics?

That's EXACTLY what I thought as soon as I laid eyes on it. Love it. :D

I don't know the reason, but it is not a typical looking for a FreeSpace ship.
-
It doesn't look meant as an FS ship, it looks like a very nice trailer home for space farin' hillbilly's.
-
if you smooth cockip of this ship we will gona have nice 1960's space rocket:D
-
no, don't smooth the cockpit, just add a little detail on the main hull.
-
Does it come with concrete blocks, or do you have to buy them seperately?
-
*doesn't get it*
-
*notes how many trailer parks have mobile homes propped on concrete blocks instead of the usual tires*
