That is my favourite heavy bomber.

It's good to see progress on this front again, I just wish we could get the Shivan models Devil's Hitman was working on.

Medusa is the only bomber that lives up to it's name... it's ugly as hell!! :ick:

It depends on what you mean a heavy, or medium bomber. The Medusa is a medium bomber compared to the Ursa-Boanerges/Artemis-Zeus pairs. It is a transition between those.
But it is a heavy bomber if you take a look at the Shield/Hull/Speed( :p) values.

Of course... the dreadnought had some really cool FreeSpace 2 like beam in the front... recharging and boom!! Too bad it did little damage :(

yeah, im pretty sure beam cannons are possible in HW2 (in fact, i remember Devils_Hitman posting pics of his TerSlash beams using HW2)
Ghostavo, I believe you mean the phased array cannon. Only particularly strong against uber sized ships, Mothership and shipyard. Still enough to kick a bc's ass :D

Actually, it looks like he just took a long hiatus because he couldn't get the models ingame.

How do you get the Beta to work: I dont understand the part about the command-line??:confused:

Installation
Add -overrideBigFile to the command-line of your HW2 shortcut, and place the data folder into HW2's root folder (ie C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\).
Back up and remove all folders except of animatics from the data folder in your HW2 directory. Copy the data folder from this archive into \Homeworld2

Edit the HW2 shortcut so it reads:
"" -overrideBigFile
i.e. leave the target field as-is except for adding the override command onto the end (outside the quotation marks)
Next, copy the data directory and paste it somewhere out of the way (a level up from the HW2 folder itself works). Then extract the one in the Zip into the HW2 folder.

I have Problems with the Mod.
I have installed it, have added the command line and start the Game.
The FS Music and the Maps are operatinal. But i haven't the FS Ships in the Game. I have only the normal HW2 Ships.
I have the German Version of HW2 is that maybe the Problem?

A lot of people are getting that problem at the moment.
Are you using v0.3?

they've upgraded (kinda) to v0.31, which fixes a few bugs.
The mod is also now in .big format so it should be easier to install.

which means instead of -overridebid file, you use -mod FSFC.big ,before anyone asks.

You need to balence this far more, large ships have too much health. And movement AI/behavioral AI is pretty buggy, ships bump into each other often.
Why dont you try to duplicate Freespace 2 gameplay and dynamics instead of making your own?

I'll be releasing my models soon, but ive had some trouble and lost some of the textures, and some models are unfinished.
I'll let you guys play with the source models anyway. I will let you know when there uploaded.
