where do i get the ship and weapons table files? I know i can edit them with notepad but I can't find the files. can somebody please point me in the right direction. Thanks:thepimp:

There in the Root VP in the main Fs2 Directory
You'll need the VpView to get it and extract

Hey, if you're interested in joining up with a big mod, I need a lot of tabling work done ;)

how do i extract the info and beable to edit the info in notpad. i got the viewer but how do get at the info to edit it?

1) Install vpview, open root_fs2.vp with it.
2) Find the table file you want (in data/tables) and hit the extract to dir button
3) Select a dir and extract to it
4) Open up notepad, browse to the dir where you saved the table, and double click to open it

When you're done, put the edited table in your freespace2/data/tables directory and run freespace 2. :)

Yeah. But GE's section will help him figure out what to do once he's got it out of the VP :D

I've got to work on moving it over to the Wiki at some point :)
