Title: Is it safe to post this in Mantis?
Post by: Taristin on May 13, 2004, 12:40:57 pm
This is using any of Bob's last builds with environment mapping. So I'm not sure if we're supposed to be posting these bugs.  My main complaint is blatantly obvious in this image.

have you tested this in any other recent (non bob) build?

Are you using any non standard media (media VP)?

Doesn't happen with the latest Taylor builds.  Using almost all standard data, with exception of the shine and glow maps. I don't have any other recent builds to test with.

Don't post it until one of the post 3.6 builds comes out with the same bug. It's quite possible that whatever is causing it will either be fixed when bob re-implements it or has already been fixed by someone else.

You are using experimental code. Turn off 'Batch dynamic data (in dev)'

Oh that'll do it? Ok. *hopes it'll run as smoothly (10-20 fps) in game without it*

In comparison to previous environment builds, yes. I'm hoping he'll refine it even more. Or that I'll actually buy that 9600XT I want, and stop saying I'm going to.
