Title: StarWars Short
Post by: DragonClaw on May 15, 2004, 03:51:22 pm
Found some models lying around on my desktop and just felt like making an animation, so here's the result. This is the first render/animation I've done in at least 2 months, I believe.

14 seconds, 1.5mb (right click - save as)

[edit]apologies for it being swooh, it's been the crappiest server in ages... but I'd feel bad using sectorgame's space :) Just be patient please.[/edit]

Godd animation though

Nice! I really like that torpedo

How did you do those lasers? Not by key-framing them individually, I hope :p

So much for comments.... :p Thanks jgjtcagle, what do you mean by the slow thing?

Er, is that a bad thing? :nervous:

I didn't notice how badly I aimed them until the animation was already done... I'm gonna be rendering it with imperial lasers this time, and extending the scene.

Uhh.. you can use the graph editor to repeat a series of keys you know :P

Yeah, that's what I did, and you can tell if u look near the end, I had the keys repeat before the lasers were off the screan... so they sorta just dissappear.

Fixed it too :p

It looked wierd, it looked as it almost stop and watched the missle hit and then left...
Now, get bored and make all the Fs1 deleted scenes :D

I'm seriously lacking in the modelling department :p

Now, get me some high-q human models and I'd be happy to try and figure out character animation :p

Hmmm...
Bob, made a vasudan and you could rip a human model from anything and modify it.
Voice acting can be found and definately Fs1 music, because it kicks so much arse.
Now, for someone to animate it :)

Well, it would have to be in Lightwave format, set up with bones and all. Half of character animation is setting the blasted thing up for movement, which, as expected, I have no idea how to do. :p

And trust me, I've looked everywhere for a character model to try and animate with but I've come up with absolutely nothing. Now, if you could somehow locate KillMeNow(I have no idea where he's been) and get him to make some stuff for me that'd be great. But the last time we talked we weren't on good terms.

Post 'em here while you're at it. I've been looking for some of those for a while now.

Oh, and if anyone would have a spare mesh of an astronaut lying around somewhere, it'd be appreciated.

Big thanks for that. Unfortunately, 3d explorations messes up about every single thing in hierarchy and texturing, when converting LW models to 3ds. Could someone convert this for me (using something reliable preferably).?

you could pinch a character rig from the 3dsMax Tutorials that come with the installation...
