Title: Andromeda(spoiler within, but obscured)
Post by: Liberator on May 16, 2004, 10:14:19 pm
Did anybody catch tonights episode?

They've been messing around with the Abyss's covert plots and agents for the last several weeks and now
Spoiler:
the Worldship is back and we find out Dylan is some kind of immortal Paradine or Paradign sommat, who are so old that they we present at the creation of the universe and may even have had a hand in it's creation.  Telemachus is probably dead as there is a 4 kilometer hole in the station he's on, courtesy of the Worldship's Point Singularity Projector(PSP) and it looks like it's all going down the crapper next week

All in all a nifty episode.

Is that show still on?  I haven't seen it for ages.

Its kind of diminishing to me if Dylan is not really human and infact something else.  All these great ideals he's been striving for...its supposed to, in a Gene Rodenbarry sort of way, set an example for all of us as to the good that humans can do if they can somehow work together instead of working against each other.

That's the thing of it, he's never really been fully Human anyway, what with his heavy worlder genes and all.  The way I look at it, all the races that sprang originally from Homo Sapiens is Human.  This would include Heavy Worlders, Earthers, Nietzchians, ect.

The show is a bit...slow. If they sped up the pacing on the storyline a bit, I'd watch it more (and if the Sci-Fi channel didn't have so many goddamn commercials).

The point of the show is that Humans aren't perfect. They got complacent and strove for peace and the Magog wiped out hundreds of worlds for their trouble. Then the Nietzschiens, who're also human, destroyed the Commonwealth.

The Vedrans were the only truly good race, and they cut everyone loose and slip-streamed all their systems off into oblivion.
