don't be stupid, you know there are spoilers
some nice battles, we finaly get to see some Aquatic ships, I like them even more than I had before.
so, the Aquatics (and god damned those are some fine vesles they have) are on our side, the weapon is on it's way to earth, the builders have finaly made a move and as a result the Insectoids have broken there aliance with the reptilians (well they would have if the reptilians hadn't destroied them). so it looks like next week earth is gona get blasted to bits.
an interesting thing, Dolim seems to have questioned the Garudians in one sceen. had anyone else done that there "skin would be decorateing the hull of the ship"
-
Yeah, the bugs trying to break the alliance was a great bit :)
I was half expecting Dolim (that's the name of the head Reptilian?) to threaten to use the weapon against the spheres, then on Earth, to create his Glorious Xindi Empire(tm).
The spheres activating was also fun.
...and we finally learn what happens when you are shot while being transported...
-
only with that low power first gen model.
Did anybody else see the subspace tunnel they used?
-
I thought it was crapy of them to kill Hayes in such a blatant fashion... and in bad taste just because he is, at heart, a red****.
Oh, and the Aquatic Flagship was sweet. Specially' with the water. :D
-
I was just watching again, and I realised something, Archer still has the beating marks on him from Azati Prime. Enterprise has better continuity running through the season than most trek does in a single eppisode.
you know I think I realy liked the part were Archer was trying to get the Aquatics to join for some reason.
-
CGI rocked as always and now things are getting more tense ... DEFINATELY the best star trek season ever made .. :)
loved the aquatic designs but why the hell was ent loading those old ordinary torps when they were not gonn use em?!
subspace tunnel = slipstream as in the voyager style thing
sphare sent out shockwaves which was odd imho i would have more liked something like a beam and in places where it crossed over it would create those subspace thingies :)
and we all know earth is NOT gonna get blasted to shreads atleast not if they wont make a "go back in time" style episode :)
hmm and yeah the continueti of the series actually rocks :) love it this season ROCKS ASS!
-
Man what a great episode!!!! The aquatic ships getting blown up and the water expanding was awesome. I didn't like the mako (hayes?) dying one bit, although the way he did was kinda cool. I always wondered why people never died when getting shot at while being teleported. Notice the beam didn't actually stun him but went right thru him, tearing him up.
Honestly, before that happened, I thought hayes and the security british guy on enterprise were going to kiss. There was so much tension and conflict between them that I thought they were gonna hook up. Seriously!! Look at that episode again and then look at all the other episodes together, they have a hotter relationship than Trip and T'pol!

The vortex was probably NOT slipstream, though it was the same effect. They're only covering 3 months of Warp 5 in 10 hours. Which is nothing like slipstream, which can cover 70 years of Warp 9.975 in 2 weeks.
The Aquatic ship kicked ****in' ass. That thing could probably take on a Sovereign.
But it's looking more and more likely that they're going to need Daniels' help to stop the attack. It'd be pretty frickin cool if the destruction of the Sphere screws the timeline to such an extent in favour of the Federation that Daniels manages to wrangle the Enterprise-X to come destroy the weapon.
But the best thing would be:
Dolim: "Mwuahaha. With the boarding party contained, our victory is assured."
Rep: "Exiting the vortex now.....Oh, ****!"
*Dolim looks out the viewscreen and sees a couple dozen Andorian, Vulcan and Human ships open fire*
-
roofle, the enterprise-X from the year 3307 comes in and someone fires a hand phaser out of a window, which annialates the xindi weapon and fleet.
-
It would be rather amusing to watch a shuttle-craft get transphasic on their asses.
-
*smirk* U guys know deep down inside that if they pulled the Enterprise-X or J or whatever from the future to fight this battle that you'd all be cursing and *****ing about how the season finale was messed up.
Plus, the whole season was how the current Enterprise and crew are dealing w/ the weapon and its destruction. Bringing in big guns like that from the future would just cheapen the entire season and be a little dissapointing.
Although, I would be curious how the next generation era ships would do in this instance :) Too bad those reptilian ships aren't modeled, would be fun to Fred a mission w/ Omni's ST ships and see how they do.
-
Daniels going rogue to save humanity would NOT be a divergence from the theme of the series.
Oh and I snagged this from the cast-list for Zero Hour from StarTrek.com:
Matt Winston as Daniels
Jeffrey Combs as Shran
Zachary Krebs as Andorian

Not Daniels, I meant the posts about bringing a future enterprise to do the dirty work.
-
most likely scenario :
other 2 ent ships "somewhat" ready and fight call in some vulcans and andorians and have a nice big CGI battle humans ofcourse loose then daniels does his thing sends archer a bit back in time to fix some final outcome by some super move (whatever) and shabang we win :D
-
The most likely scenario is that Daniels realises the Sphere Builders are going to interfere and destroy Earth, so he decides to level the playing field somehow. Either by giving Archer intel on the weapon or attacking the Sphere Builders to distract them.
Actually, that would be the best series of events. The Human, Vulcan and Andorian fleet attacks the weapon and manages to almost kick its ass, but T'Pol fails to destroy Sphere 41 and the Guardians start ****ing with the pre-Fed fleet. Then Daniels comes riding in on his big, shimmering, Tritanium-hulled, Federation horse and completely obliterates Sphere 41.
-
Well we already know Daniels tries to convince Archer again of not going on a mission cuz he's important to the future (the teaser after the show).
The sphere should be marginally damaged since everyone was taking shots at it for 2 shows already. Enterprise was taking out the generators. So if fleets from 3 races start up on it, I think it would go down pretty quickly.
I think those spherebuilders are gonna interfere again. I think they're gonna try to help the weapon til they realize that enterprise is trying to take out one of the spheres. They'll do one of those anomaly waves with Enterprise sitting right outside of the sphere and Daniels is gonna have to step in and maybe push Enterprise out of the way.
-
Daniels wouldn't step in to save Enterprise, only Archer.
-
That's basically what's going to happen, Archer is key to the founding of the Federation, Daniels tells him as much in the preview for the season finale.
So basically, it's going to come down to Archer going, "I have to survive? **** it, I'm saving Earth!" and everyone else, save the Sphere Builders and Reptilitans are going to do their best to keep him from dying.
-
I'd bet my kidney that there'll be some speech about "You say I'm crucial to the founding of this 'Federation'? If I stay here, cowering inside this ship while my people are out there dying....If that's the kind of man the Federation needs, then the Federation isn't worth saving. Now get the hell off my ship!"
-
That sounded familiar, didn't he say something like that already? Or is he that predictable?
-
Ironically, it's exactly the kind of speech that Picard and Sisko always gave. So if his death-speech is like that, I'll be laughing my ****ing ass off.
-
Well he said some crap like that when daniels pulled him on the future enterprise. That's why when u said it, I was like, man that would be what he'd say...
-
I've changed my mind as to the end again.
I think he should 'Do a Data'.
Dolim grabs him just after he's started the destruction of the weapon and is all "We die together", and Archer is screaming like a ***** on his knees. Then he thinks "**** it", punches Dolim in the nuts, beats the **** out of him and sprints to the nearest breach in the weapon's hull as the places burns down around his ears.
Then he jumps into the abyss, goes flying out through the containment field, glides through space and gets far enough from the weapon for Enterprise to lock a transporter on him and beam him in.
-
Picard made speeches like that? I remember him saying "get off my ship" or "get off my bridge" a lot, but I don't remember him thinking the Federation or anyone needed him? But it's been forever since I've seen TNG episodes.. I kinda miss 'em... :(
-
I meant 'screw everything' speeches.
Picards most notable one was "They invade our space, and we fall back. They assimilate entire worlds, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here. This far, no further[/b][/i]! And I will make them pay for what they have done....."
-
First Contact?
-
Yup.

Ohhh, gotcha. Yeah, there's a few of those.
