Could you guys make it so that Freespace uses .md3 files as well as .pof files, because i can make .md3's in Radiant (JK2/A map editing software) and i think it might be less hassle for the rest of us too (though i really have no idea).
So is it possible?
Reworded: Can i have .md3 support?
-
I very much doubt it. :)
Can't you convert .md3 files to something else that you can make into a pof?
-
my parents don't give me that kind of software money
don't tell me to get a job
anything free that can do that?
-
You know you *need* POF anyway for all the extra data like thruster / gun / glow / etc points, right?

You'll be after Lithunwrap. It can open .md3s, save as .cobs, and you can uv map your model while you're in there. And to top it off, you can download it for free.

This "Can you make freeSpace 2 use [Random modelling Environment]'s model format" is getting and annoying as PEople asking about FreeSpace 3!

I was thinking of either that or 3Dexploration. But I couldn't check Lith supported formats at the time :)
