I've started working on a Freespace Pen & Paper Roleplaying game.

This is version 0.21.
With a finished Table of Contents, and mostly drawn up Character Creation the whole thing seems to come together.
I finally see which are the parts I will still have to devote a lot of time to, and which are the things I only need to type in from Fallout PnP.
The thing I meditate the most over are my double stats - some playtesting and additional rules that determine in game use of these stats will have to decide wheter they stay or not - same goes for new stat Fate. Right now I'm inclined to move it to the finishig touches of Character Creation.
Beuty though is quite a valid addition IMHO, so is Wisdom. Memory on the other hand is a tricky question, and I'm still thinking of the rules that will exploit its presense.

I base the system on the SPECIAL rules made by Black Isle for Fallout.
Some facst:
-No classes, no class/alignment based restrictions
-My system won't use HPs, I'll try to create a Cyberpunk 2020 style system with deadly close combat and wounds.
-Perks will be given after 3 levels
-Skills continously increase by assigning the xp you gain during using some skill to the said skill - so it will be simply put: practice makes perfect
-Specialised Skill development: if you have a IMI Desert Egle and you keep using that, instead simply raising you small arms skill you'll receive many skill points for that particular level, less for using huge handguns, even less for handguns, and the least for small arms.

You do realize that FudgeSpace isn't a MUD, don't you? It *is* a pen & paper system. I don't know enough about MUDs to write one.

After looking through your work, I like it. Not bad. Besides, it's not like either of us is getting paid for this, so who cares about competition?

What skills should be included for playing an FS_era advanture?
What perks?
...and crazy stuff that would make fabolous gamplay?
Please note that the final system won't use hitpoints for the characters only ships and vechicles.
Damage would still be calculated in points though - the exception would be that when shooting a person with a gun it will only cause a ligh/moderate/serious/mortal wound/instant death.
Healing Rate will be adapted to this system.
What I'm trying to figure out is how to connect the damage stat to the severity of the wound.
The characters won't become naturallymore tougher (they won't gain more and more hp) - the perks already offer a wide variety of possibilities for extended your damage resistance.
If you wanna play Rambo in crossfire done a powersuit.

Major update took place:
I've drawn up the entire document in table of contents, so people can already think of things to add.
I'm working on skill and character advancement. I'm also pretty far into character creation.
The sill completely unfinished part of the game is space combat, and the list of space oriented skills.
As of now Version 0 - is availible. Note: no spellchecker was availible.

Flaser, would you mind if I borrowed a few traits here and there?
Also, on the subject of Memory, a lot of systems (including mine) attribute it to Intelligence, and use a roll against that attribute to determine it.

Version 0.23 is up - I removed several statistics that were in the previous system.
Right now, I try to practice self criticism on my creation:
Wisdom
Beauty
Will
These are the stats that I added to SPECIAL and haven't got rid of yet.
BTW - you can use any material from my work, since it's pretty much a Freespace oriented implementation of the SPECIAL system laid down in the Fallout PnP.

I try to do the same. I just don't release new versions as fast as you do, though I'm pusing along on v0.2 of FudgeSpace.
Feel free to draw anything from my work you want. Heck, Fudge itself is a free system, so it's not like I can complain if you do borrow anything.
