Title: Outer Limits
Post by: Stunaep on May 22, 2004, 03:58:08 pm
Damn, what a good series. I don't think I've ever seen Earth destroyed in so many creative ways in one season. Plus it's got a damn impressive cast list (if one can call it that). Malcom McDowell, Bruce Boxleitner, Robert Foxworth, Alyssa Milano, Robert Patric etc..

And many, many nude scenes

It started getting stupid.

By the later series the only thing(s) that made sense were all tied into that Time Travel season finale (Season 7, IIRC).

I'm only up to season 5. So far there hasn't been anything what you call stupid. Except for the resolution of "Dead Man's Switch".

one thing I do remember that I didn't realy like was how there would be eppisodes that didn't seem to be related, but later there would be an eppisode that tied them together. I think I stoped watching when NBC stopped carrying it, wich I think was in the season that had like the aliens (green reptilian looking things with curly horn like structures) that took over earth and they had like five eppisodes of that (and not all of them were recognisable initaly), I think there was also that epp with the ships that had enslaved the surviveing humans.

That's the problem with Sci-Fi, it has to be where everybody will believe it.  I think theat's why Freespace was such a big hit

Any series which did Larry Niven's Inconstant Moon as an episode is okay by me.

Outer Limits did manage to notch up some absolutely fantastic episodes but there are some which are utter dross (Not to mention there was a point were they realised that in absense of good plotlines they could just have large amounts of female nudity and still draw in the same demographic :D )

There is a reason why I quote my personal favorite ep. in my sig.  I love the new OL, the old ones were a cheap knock off of the twilight zone.
