Post by: Sandwich on May 24, 2004, 12:57:12 am
Does anyone know of a utility or hack that will add the new folder button that is present in the file open / save dialog boxes to regular explorer windows?

Hmmm, sorry dude. I can't remember trying to do stuff like that back from the days when I was using 2k... Google search doesn't turn up anything?

Not really, no. The terms are too common to get meaningful results from.

That's the one thing Macs have over PCs. You want a new folder? Press Apple-N.

On PCs? Context menu...

Anyway, doesn't 2k HAVE a new folder button in the upper right hand corner of the standard dialog box? Right next to the View Menu button? That's how it is on my computer. I just checked with Firebird's open file command.

Yeah, it does, but that's not where I want it. I want it in Windows Explorer, not just the file open/save dialog boxes.

Try Here (http://www.baxbex.com/products.html#bxnewfolder), this seems to be what you're looking for.

If that doesn't work, I found the link in this thread (http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=158204), there's a couple other suggestions in it (though not exactly what you want).
