but do you know about that Gearge Lucas is raping them
adding Jar Jar binks there and things like that but next pic I show Is just too much
(http://www.aintitcool.com/image/HaydenJedi.jpg)
I can only say ****ing great!!
that is just wrong

No amount of :wtf: smileys can describe how I feel right now.
Indeed, that just isn't right :hopping:

Hang on, what exactly has happened?
-
they replaced darthvader/anakin in the Return of the jedi by the looks of it.
-
Can anyone tell me when George Lucas went over to the Dark Side? It must have been before TPM
-
we need a comparison shot.
-
I say it's his films and he should be allowed to do whatever he wants with them. don't like it? don't buy it.
-
:eek2: I can't believe it! This is the way it ought to be.
-
Setekh: Exactly!
Kode: That would be all fine and true, except he totally sold out. Plus it's a well known fact that 'most anything with a Star Wars brand on it will get huge sales simply by association to the original good films.
He'll make a lot of money, but at a cost of credability. A shame.
-
No... No... I refuse to accept this. I absolutely refuse to accept this. This can not happen.
No.

seconded, he's /trying/ to make the old ones fit into the new character scheme which sucks big time, i mean the last set of refinements was all good and fine, but /this/?... oh hell no. what's he gonna do next?.. replace darth's face in the death scene with a new one? :hopping:
-
Can we just stab him before he does any more damage?
-
they better not change the voice.....

they'd prolly rehire james earl jones if they wanted to do that.

But you know what, it's not so far fetched knowing Lucas...
-
I heard a rumour somewhere that he was planning to put Natalie Portman in there somewhere, don't know how true it is tho...
And, and does Yoda in Seteckh's comparison shot look like he's smoking a joint or something to anyone else?
-
I thought of one thing when I saw this:
South Park 6x09

lol it does kinda look like that. But it's obi wan's hand that's reaching out and resting on yoda's shoulder.

no, It's not Steve Sansweet confirmed that

HIG, I trust anything you say about as much as I trust the excuses of a man found in a nunnery at 3am.
-
Ach, who gives a ****?
I mean, yeah - it looks wierd.
But it's a 30-second bit at the end of the film which 90% of people won't even watch, but skip through. It's not changing the story atall, infact it's bringing it 'up to date' as it were. ... in fact, the old ending shot doesn't make sense now, given the prequels.
But it isn;t worth crying bloody murder like it's some massive alteration, because it isn't. If your enjoyment of a film is going to be spoiled by possibly the most inconsequential, minor addition, then don't buy it.
Assuming it ain't a hoax.
-
That's just plain ridiculous, Luke in ROTJ looks older than his new 'Dad'!
-
ROTJ used to be my favorite Star Wars movie...

From: StarWars.com
When asked if the forthcoming DVDs would feature the original theatrical release versions of the trilogy or the Special Editions, Sansweet answered that the films contained on the discs would be the incarnations of the films "as George Lucas sees them today." He reminded people of the 1995 video release of the trilogy that hailed itself as the last time the original theatrical cuts would ever be available. "They weren't kidding," Sansweet noted.

It's Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen strikes back! :)

*Picks up his old school red lightsabre*
*catches a bus to Skywalker Ranch*
Be back in a few days...
...bastards...
-
Nobody knows for sure if it's fake or not yet.
-
It's not like Lucas is hurting for $... This may be his theory of a evolving story so he will change existing things to match the new reality (gee I sound like those idiots B&B, please shoot me now!).
So does this mean he will F up Star Wars like they did Trek?
At least JMS hasn't sold out (yet) right? :nervous:

Exactly how does that prove that the pic is real?
It simply proves that we won't get the original 70s version released on video again.
-
By the same reckoning you can't all jump at HIG and say it's a fake, he may be convinced it's not a fake but there isn't really any proof from any of you that it is.
Post proof before ranting at him.
Also something strikes me about that shot, if it is a fake it's a rather good one because I could actually believe Lucas would do that, it's his style.

-
Well, the site (http://www.aintitcool.com) where that image came from hardly looks the most reputable source, does it?
-
True but that is not Proof
Why I think that is not fake
1)if that is fake that who made fake must very good making fakes
cos look that picture that is Anakin{Hayden.C] from it looks from Episode3 Anakin
2) that who made it must seen Episode3 Screens and there is none Screens from that much I know or must Hyperspace memper
and made it for fun
3)that Change fits to George Lucas plan add new Scenes To DVD release
-
That's an editted scene. Not a new scene.
-
Anakin looked like that before he turned to the Dark side of the Force.
-
No, he looked like this:
He looked like that earlier when he had sex with the Emperor to win favour with him.
Either way, it's stipid for them to make him actually younger. He was an ass when he was younger anyway. He'd be much more 'light side' when he turned from evil anyway.
-
Regardless, I'm thinking about just hiring a hit squad to take out the entire Lucas team...
-
Anakin turns to the Dark side in Episode III. He is around 20 years then.
That bloke looks like to be at least 40(He may be at the age when he died, just in Jedi clothing.
-
And since neither Yoda nor Obi-wan reverted to their youth why should Vader?
-
Well, luke is about 20 when he faces his father, his 'father' in the edited picture looks about 19, which makes just about as much chronological sense as the rest of the series (like why does Obi Wan age about 40 years in about 20 years between the two series etc? )
-
This is a result of the wrong person getting there hands on Photoshop :doubt: But, I might be wrong
-

They did not turn to the dark side.
-
Well, with that hair it looks like he's about to leap up and say...
'Oh no luvvy! You can't have a blue lightsabre with a brown cloak, what are you thinking? Go with a nice red or yellow, it complements the robe and fits with the sombre mood of the occasion!'
-

Guys, the reason why the original movie has an old anakin is cuz he WASN'T over on the dark side when he died. He turned back to the light side at the end, before he croaked. So when they show him as a spirt, it would make sense that he be old. Obi Wan and Yoda look the same as when they died.
-
I don't think the Dark or Light side had anything to with it to be honest. It's just that the characters look as old as they were when they died, as simple as that ;)
Asuuming this is not a fake, which it may or may not be, we will find out when someone buys the set, It's got to be the most moronic way of regurgitating movies I've ever seen. Star Wars was a great series, and it is being killed stone cold dead :(
-
Well I'm guessing people see it as the 'light side' because the real anakin glowly looks happy and not all scarred n' **** as a glowy. Since he's not all scarred up, he's light side... err something like that.
Anyway, my point is, he'd be 'more light side' after he turns than he ever would before taking the final step into darkness, as it would take much more 'light side power' or remorse/good feelings to turn away from the dark side's power than it would to never touch it in the first place.

...
Lucas did not want to cast more actors. He found it better to keep the original actors so that we could recognise them[At least Obi-wan and Anakin(the then Darth Vader)].

And you are the master of bashing me for my grammar. Just informing you that there should be a ?(which is also known as question mark) at the end of that sentence. So much about English grammar.

Stop comparing light sabre sizes for god sake you two...

I find it a bad idea to try and argue logic in a film that it not only fantasy but plagued with plotholes.

I, Jedi > Episodes I - 3
Deffinitely.

X-wing books > all except original trilogy
-
I hope you include I, Jedi in that. It truly is one of the top three in Star Wars Literature.
-
(http://www.theforce.net/timeline/Ewoks5.JPG)
It sort of reminds me of that gummy bear cartoon :)
-
I detest Ewoks.
-
Since when were there elephants on Endor's moon?
-
There is no canon info about elephants being on Endor.
Ewoks must be using them as horses in the comics...

let me rephrase then
X-wing books + any book with Corran in it > all but original trilogy
