OK, this is open to anyone with "alternative" tastes in music, i.e. not ****ty pop or mainstream dance music:
What is (are) the best record(s) you've bought in the last year?
Mine (in no particular order):
Dance of Death - Iron Maiden
Probot
Mit Gas - Tomahawk
Blue Lines - Massive Attack
-
bought or "aquired"?
Bad Religion - The Empire Strikes First
Anti Flag - The Terror State
NOFX - The War on Errorism
-
"Acquired" is fine - I don't "acquire" music myself (just progs and movies), but yeah... :D
-
Can't mentioned them... They...uhh.. would be...
FLAMED!!
-
Dir en Grey - Gauze
Drain S.T.H. - Freaks of Nature
Machines of Loving Grace - Concentration
Sigur Ros - Ágætis Byrjun
There's more, but I can't be bothered to find it.
-
Charlatans - Up at the lake
Delays - Faded Seaside Glamour
Snow Patrol - Final Straw
-
I buy albums, not singles. But I'd have to say I've been listening to Chemical Brothers a lot more than any other band lately.
-
Lycia - Empty Space
Gary Numan - Scarred (live in Brixton)
Love & Rockets - Express (remaster)
Cocteau Twins - Box Set (again)
-
The only record I've ever bought was a Red Army Choir LP
So there.
-
I've been listening to some Aphex Twin lately... and some mp3's I found on ftp.innerverse.com
-
Front Line Assembly - Hard Wired
30 Seconds to Mars
I Mother Earth - The Quicksilver Meat Dream
Skinny Puppy - The Greater Wrong of the Right
and the same Bad Religion album Rictor mentioned
-
