Title: Updated media VP
Post by: WMCoolmon on June 16, 2004, 04:33:14 am
mv_effects has been updated with CP's changes. It substantially reduces the size of it, so a performance increase is almost guaranteed.

It's available from the Wiki page: Direct link to media VP page (http://dynamic4.gamespy.com/~freespace/fsdoc/index.php/media%20VP)

Note that in order for the beam glows to work properly, you must have a build that supports modular table files. Any CVS build after 5/24/2004 should have this support; if you've got an older build, I just posted  (http://www.hard-light.net/forums/index.php/topic,24223.0.html) a new one in the recent builds forum.

I can't access the file to download it.

Can 3.6 support modular tables?

Try downloading it again, I just tried it and it worked for me. It probably got glitched the first time I uploaded it. :)

3.6 does not support modular table files, but, well, read the first post.

Is this supposed to be 8 megs as opposed to 100+ megs?

If you see any huge losses in quality though let me know. I haven't seen any yet. I did take out the Sathanas sun image because it wasn't displaying properly.

Just asking.  I could probably use the space for more Mods anyway...
