Small and somewhat silly question. Is it possible get a pegasus to spew particles and just generally look like it's falling apart as soon as it's jumped in, or do I have to shoot it up to get the desired effect? :/
the reason im asking is because I set the hull to 1% in FRED, but the effect doesn't seem visible over in FS2. Strangely, an Uly with the same settings seems to work, but the elecricity bolts that normally run accross a ship when its damaged is pixelated heavily, like blocks rather than a bolt.
any ideas?

Have no idea how to fix it... but that's odd indeed.
That with a normal or SCP enhanced Peg?

I'm assuming you're using an SCP build?
It 'should' work, the very first mission of the campaign involves some freighters and escort in pretty bad condition.....

Meh, at least it would be if Pipex would get their bloody Web servers working properly :(
That fighter is at 37% hull, running on standard 3.6, what graphics card/options are you using?

well...it worked...sorta. The particles show up...wierdly O_o

im running Fs2_open_C06152004.exe and my current com-line setup is as follows:
C:\FreeSpace2\fs2_open_C06152004.exe -spec -glow -pcx32 -jpgtga -phreak -d3d_no_vsync -fps -dnoshowvid -novbo -batch_3dunlit -bobshield -snd_preload -max_subdivide -ambient_factor 75 -nomotiondebris -decals

i cant see your picture flipside.
im currently running with a Nvidia Geforce 2 MX/MX 400
thing is, it used to work before, as evidenced by this pic:

Well, -max_subdivide is an experimental feature and is supposed to have a value after it iirc, that may be causing your problems? Not sure what -novbo is atm, I'll have to check ;)
Yeah, I'm having problems with my webspace at the moment, might be because I'm trying to use an ftp program at the same time as uploading with Frontpage ;)

Singh:
nomotiondebris isn't going to do anything with that build, you should be getting an error message that tells you as such. I only added it about 3 days ago. :D
Edit: Oh, and your problem's likely "-batch_3dunlit", try turning that off.
