These are just test missions I made to check how those things would look in game, and I'm as far away from an expert at Fred Background Creation as anyone can be, so expect much better results once the images themselves are approved and the real mission backgrounds get done. I already mentioned this to Styxx, but if you run FS2 with 512x512 texture resolution, those look even better.

Mmh... those BG are strange. I think the resolution isn't high enough to use them at this scale, unfortunately. but I just love the huge contrast between the white in the center, and the black of space.

On the BWO forum I posted a similar set of screen shots and I was using the high resolution texture display. They will look fantastic, truly fantastic on any system configured for that.

Don't attempt this if you have an older card. GeForce and other like cards support this kind of texture resolution, but many others don't.

Sure, Venom - I built the nebulae a lot bigger than that, but FS2 simply can't handle them. At normal magnification, mine could have filled just about half the entire space. But FS2 works much better with nebulae constructed from pieces.
