Title: problems with Azureus
Post by: redsniper on July 02, 2004, 11:54:31 am
so I'm trying to download stuff with Azureus and it worked fine yesterday, but now after running for a few minutes it disconnects my internet and I have to restart my computer for it to work again. I have a satellite connection and ZoneAlarm, but it happens wether ZA is on or not. So what's the problem?

You know, Azureus does have its own forum where devs can answer to your questions.
http://sourceforge.net/forum/?group_id=84122

1) Update your network card drivers.
2) Update firmware/BIOS of your your whatever-box your satellite connections uses.
3) Did you install any OS updates recently? You might try to use system restore (if you have XP).
4) Use another firewall, ZA is just crappy and not well compatible with AZ.

Sygate or Kerio are the best ones as far as I know.
I'd go with Kerio, it is more regularly updated than most other firewalls softwares, meaning if there are bugs, these will be fixed much sooner than with others.

I find Kerio to be very good, doesn't bother with a wasteful "user-friendly" interface.
