I only remember him from three movies, The Score, The Godfather and Apocolypse Now, but obviously he was a great actor. Its a shame he's gone, but he lead a good life.

It's always the way alas, your role models/heros (or even anti-heroes) from your youth will (with luck) die before you do. I suppose it's kind of the final lesson in Mortality when even your heroes die.
Take the James Doohan thing, and the photograph of him, grey hair, stooped, overweight, he almost looks like a different person to the Scotty I used to watch 25 odd years ago :(

Sad. :( Brando would be immortal in the movie industry for his role as Vito Corleone in The Godfather.
Well, he was ill for a long time - both physically and mentally.

i think other the obvious....Vito...i liked him best in Don Juan DeMarco. I thought he was hysterical in that movie.
