Title: Here is a question from Carl
Post by: Carl on July 03, 2004, 04:13:03 am
Most 3D animation for feature length movies is done with Maya or Lightwave and rendered with Renderman or a comparable renderer. We know that. But...

What software do they use for 2D animation? They couldn't do it all by hand in this day and age, and I doubt they make animation of that quality on something like Flash. So what do they use?

I figured it was cel-shading. The alternative is really sophisticated use of keyframes, methinks. I know that's how Spirited Away was done.
