For some reason shinemaps and environment maps have stopped working for me, and it's been a real headache trying to find out why. I noticed it after playing using bobboau's 7-4-04 build, and then tested it out on a previous build with those features, and they didnt work on it either. I'd appreciate any help I could get.
Edit: Apparently I made a mistake. Shinemaps do work, just not Lightspeed's

What are your command line flags?
-
make sure to use the -jpgtga (and the -pcx32 maybe ?) flags.
-
Col. Fishguts: I use both of those.
Goober5000: The complete list of command line flags I use would be:
-spec, -glow, -pcx32, -jpgtga, -d3dmipmap, -ship_choice_3d, -targetinfo, -nomotiondebris, -2d_poof, -fps, -max_subdivide, -env, -decals, and -ambient_factor 75

wtf? Thats wierd... Enviornment mapping has starting working on all the ships, but LS shinemaps still aren't...?
-
IIRC, Lightspeed's environment shinemaps, are intended for use in the alpha environment mapping mode. Check the launcher to see the different flag. From what I've heard however, any ship without an alpha shinemap, will look realy weird.
Later!

Okay, thanks, that clears a few things up for me :)
