Title: 3ds fs2 models
Post by: aldo_14 on July 07, 2004, 06:18:07 am
Does anyone have (relatively) scaled 3ds models of the FS2 ships? (in particular, the Deimos, Leviathan, Orion, Argo, Poseidon, FS1 terran transport whose name I forget, Arcadia, Hercules, Sobek & Hatshepsut)

I'd rather avoid having to go through the extract & scale malarky myself, so if anyone has them, a copy would be much appreciated. :)

Nah, the one that's now the Amazon Advanced or something like that.  In the Colussus cutscene, carries cargo containers on its 'back'.

'Tis indeed. And, err, why do they need to be scaled, as such? I've never had any scaling problems during my conversions (I'd put up the ones I had Aldo, if it didn't invole walking back and forth about 500m each way between my flat and the nearest computer with a floppy several dozen times).

edit: hold the phone...???? explain, if you got them at the flat, than obviously there's a computer there or at least that where they's stored on...so why the need to walk 500m several times? (as if you could not take enough floppies or a USB stick to make the walk just once...)

'deed. I started the year with 5, not expecting to need them. I've since lost two (possibly three), and keep forgetting to buy more.

A 3ds database with all the FS1 and 2 ships would really be useful. I need the perseus and the moloch, btw, anybody? :p

You need maps?

I could proably throw a RAR together in a couple of weeks and have it up if it's not a priority.  They'd be 3dex 3DS.

Nope, really, anybody can extract the maps with VPview. The complicated thing is to get the 3ds file w/o screwing up the UV mapping ( something I never have been able to do correctly :doubt: )
