Title: animation lasers
Post by: HotSnoJ on July 08, 2004, 07:56:06 am
I don't know about you, but making lasers for renders in blender3d is a pain. Especially FS like lasers.

I was slightly bored this morning so I figured, 'wth! I'll try to do something with Blender today.' So I sat down and came up with a way to make more FS like lasers with blender.

It uses particles for the glow, a shadeless mesh for the white center, and the particles are animated to get them to decress in size along the 'body' of the laser. I'll probably try and convert it over to the Sequencer part of blender so I can layer it so the center remains white the whole length of the laser.
