Title: In Oxford for 6 weeks... Suggestions from locals?
Post by: Labcoatguy on July 09, 2004, 05:50:26 am
So I'm in a study abroad program that plops me in New College, Oxford for about six weeks, including the past one, and I realize that I have a glut of time and not much explicitly planned to do. Any locals (London area included) have any thoughts? Thanks muchly in advance.

Not being a Londoner I can only stereotype and say avoid Soho. :drevil:

Depends on the part of Soho you go to. The Covent Garden end is actually quite nice :D

Romford's not that bad, there is an ice rink near my house but people keep setting fire to it and it's closing down.

There is a shopping centre called the 'Brewery' which has a nice cinema.  There used to be a swimming pool called the Dolphin but they closed it down.
