How about right now (http://sectorfiles.com/FSCZ/race.fs2)

The single player version at least. I have no clue as to how to go about converting it to multi though.

Ooooh, I was just thinking about this as I was downloading the file! :D

Give all the players Akhetons, maybe a Circe or something. No missiles. And let them call for a support ship.

Edit: Maybe Morning Stars, but you'd have to increase the power used or decrease ship power to keep them from being too frustrating.

I think that's worthy of a highlight myself! It really does show off wonderfully some of the improvements made to Freespace 2 by the SCP team :)

I'll watch this when i get my laptop back, this PC won't play videos properly.

Wasn't this the thing we were branding FSCZ?

Am I missing a build or something, or doesnt the mission work as your video shows?

a) I dont see the nav point description next to the targetting box
b) I have to cycle through all objects with "t" to find them, they will NOT get auto selected for me.
c) I seem to be invulnerable at 1% till the very moment I jump out (where i'm vulnerable again).

Dude, that's awesome. I especially like the fairytale 1% finish - I bet your heart was racing then. :D Welcome to the highlights. :)

Newest builds have a flag to enable the data by the side, but you need the hud_guages tbl file... :)

Dunno about the rest. :)

a. Build problem.

b. Also build problem. You're supposed to select the next checkpoint using the escort button. I realized sometimes this may not work with the older builds, but have no clue how to fix that O_o

c. thats to give you a chance to finish it more than anything else ;)

And w00t!! Highlights!! A Dream come true for me!! :D  :eek2:

Any of the latest builds. The command lines should be in the launcher.
Use the PXO builds before and after your tables, those should work, at the least :)

Now, to convert this thing into Multi :drevil:
Well, either that or find something else to work on :p

I told him three times already to dump this kind of stuff on sectorgame and not on sectorfiles with the 500MB limit, but, well, yeah.

I've got the file, but I also got 14KBPS upload, so I'll leave it to someone with a better conn to do the honors.

I have to FIND an alternative location first. So far im drawing a complete blank, except for Sphosting, but they won't allow direct hotlinking at all.

Kasperl: I'm a bit afraid that If i put all this over at sectorgame, it'll overload that bandwidth limit as well. Caused enough trouble with overloading Sectorfiles as it is :(

The space was reduced to 500mb for the account, but the bandwidth limit has always been 15GB. There are LOTS of files uploading and downloading on Sectorfiles, not just  that video.

Btw Singh, you can put the comics on Sectorgame, but not the video.

Could the video and mission go bundled on fileplanet?

I'll PM you Singh when I got the info on the alternate location.

Incredible . Definitely a great idea that hasn’t been exposed in the Freespace2 realm thoroughly enough.
The music could have been better though, the suspense was literally killed.

Can’t wait to play the mission… (http://home.iprimus.com.au/nexus387/forums/yeh.gif)

yeah, the music bit is my fault....I could just re-run it with a better mix of music, but that means I'll need to re-upload and you'll need to re-download and wasting Swooh's bandwidth, so :P

edit: forgot to mention. I'm still converting this to multi, around 50-60% of the way through.

Dont mind me asking, but what's the SexP limit these days? I've got a huge load of events here and I'm afraid I might just crash FS2 O_o
(and this is WITH using variables)

thanks for the commends everybody. Any points of improvement for the next one? I've already got to work on it, but some advice would be appreciated.

In particular, how do I mix music files together? I want to put it all in one file and then stick it into Virtualdub along with the movie once its done, but I have no clue which editing tool is good and not some lame peice of spyware!

Try Audacity, it should do the trick.

Oh, and send-message-list just uses less SEXPs than send-message, that's why I asked. I  doubt it would help you much though. :p
Title: Where my Saturday went

Ok, so it does take a few less nodes, but its individual messages more than groups, so makes little difference :/

But thanks for the Audacity suggestion - Ive downloaded and it looks good :)

oh yes, and spam:

Sorry. Didn't look closely enough at the preceding messages. I've heard a few people bash send-message-list before but I've never been able to figure out why :D

Thought you might be one of them and I could finally figure out what they were on about. :)
