Take a look at these leaflets, supposedly dropped over Iraq, that I found on the CENTCOM (Central Command, the US military media outlet) website.
What surprised me were not the messages, though they're funny too, but the terrible, terrible design work. Literally, I could have done better. If you didn't like the Matrix Revolution artwork from a few threads back, just get a load of these.
Billions of dollars, and they can't even hire a proper designer.
I won't post the images directly, since they're pretty big, I assume because they're at print quality.
Here are some of the better ones:

Why do I see this going the same way as the "what to do in the event of terrorism" stuff.. :drevil:
-
"Don't attack Coalition aircraft this" and "Don't attack Coalition aircraft that."
Do you sense some sort of potential weak spot in Coalition strategy?

Good Advice
I don't know I would have worded it differently:
"Do Not Use Weapons of Mass Destruction."
"If you do, George W. Bush might get elected..." :p
Actually... that'd be my threat for just about all of those things ;)

"elected"

I actually think that there are some very cunning people who are working to bring Bush down from within. The reason being, Bush is a like a big beacon "Hey look everyone, look how greedy and imperialist we are! Look at all these shady business dealings! Look at our arrogance! Look at how aggressive we are! Come, gaze upon all of that."
And simply put, thats not good for business. Its hard to go around ****ing people if they know you're doing it. Clnton never had 10 million people marching against him. He was never World Enemy #1. He was subtle about it. Now THATS how you do business.
My theory is that these people stand for exactly the same things Bush stands for, only they know how to do it effectively. And that means, doing it with a big smile and velvet glove. Bush has simply made too many mistakes, too many screw-ups which could have been avoided if someone with an intellect of a 5 year old was in charge. Now don't mistake Bush's stupidity for the administration's stupidity. There are some very learned and devious people in there, and they're the ones making the decisions. The more I look at it, the more Iraq seems to have been engineered to kill Bush's presidency.
And who's the alternative? Mr, John Kerry, thats who. He knows how to do things properly. Just watch, he gets elected, and look how fast the world just forgets. To most people, Bush is the problem, not his ideas. You can have someone who does everything the same as Bush, but as long as he is not Bush, as long as he does all this nicely, through the usual channels (NATO, UN etc), no one will mind.
Well, thats the theory anyway, and it makes sense if you take for granted two things: a) The people in charge of the United States are not stupid and b) People assosciate acts with individuals, not ideas. Thus, they can be easily fooled. Replace the individual, and it is as if though you replaced the idea.
-
That's all good and nice and all, but without the stuff dealing with Iraq, Bush wouldn't need to be helped out the door. Sure he'd be a lousy president, but not of epic proportions.
And Kerry... I suppose, in contrast.
-
You have a point, but I think its more of a matter of Good Cop, Bad Cop. Bush is obviously the bad cop, so whichever cop comes along next, lets say Kerry, will look that much better in comparison.
A hamburger isn't all that great, but compared to ****, its delicious.
I just can't accept that Bush advisors, neo-cons mostly, with the odd old-guard Cold Warrior here and there, are stupid enough to make so many mistakes. Most of them are political scientists, intellectuals, scholars and so forth. Very Machivellian, that bunch. They are acting 10x stupider than all evidence is saying they should be.
